Re: Hy-Maints 2014 Log
5/9 Squats, Dl's
Squats: 145x5, 155x5, 165x5, 175x5 2 sets
Dl's: 135 wu, 185x5, 205x5, 225x5, 245x5
cable shrugs: 75x40 4 sets
Not a bad night. I wasn't gonna dl, but I was feelin pretty good. I wanted 185 on my squats, but hesitated. I'm happy with my dl # but that won't last long. 225 is getting easy and 245 is just hard as fawk to hit for more than 1 set....so i wait...and keep training. lol
my shoulder is still a little painful so I am going to do tri/bi but try not to do any pressing movements. That means no skulls or close grip bench. hmm...that sux. oh well....I don't wanna irritate this thing anymore than it is.

Re: Hy-Maints 2014 Log
if you are strapped a bit for cash or the pl gym is to far to travel to everyday you could pick up some bands from a site somewhere. i got mine from elitefts.com and they are really cheap and pretty easy to use. that would be a good start i would think

I'm gonna do a bit of a bio here on my log to flesh out some ideas and let ppl who read it know what my goals are. I have been meandering so I want to put it into writing- a) to clarify my goals, and b) as a way to hold myself accountable. I am also having many of the female gear issues as well. It is such a different animal for women, and its hard to find women who will be honest about what they do and the effects it has on their body.

5/8: Chest and tri
Bench: 115x5 5 sets
Incline: 95x5 5 sets
Cable flys: 30x15 4 sets
Bw dips: bwx10 4 sets
Vbar: 65x15, 85x15, 105x15, 125x15
forearms
I have been stuck at 115 on my bench for a month now. It was very difficult last night and I was having some right front delt issues again. I haven't been doing plate raises so I am not sure what's been aggrevating it. The incline went up this week to 95 with no problems. BW dips were incredibly hard! I haven't done them in so long. I was surprised at the degree of difficulty I had with them. I don't think I have been eating enough to support my cycle. I also don't see the cycle translating into my lifts either, but that could be me. I have the patience of a 5 year old. It was interrupted for about 2 weeks and i've been back on for a week. I will give it another week or 2 before I start to get a bit more aggressive.
tonight is squat and dl night, but I think i will do squats and rack pulls instead. I'm not feeling like conventional deads today.

Re: Hy-Maints 2014 Log
it never fails hy-maint and the worse time that people get you is when you are feeling really good and getting in a good workout. i dont ever think i have ever told anyone that yeah i look great blah blah. i do have a few people mainly old guys and ladies that ask how my prep is going and i say i am ahead of sched and feel good blah balh. nice short and sweet and on with their workouts. now i can handle that and they will always wait until i am recovering between sets. come to think about it almost all of them competed or were really into the sport or power lifting in the 70-80s. i dont think i could roll up to a lady i didnt know and talk to her like that, esp if she looks like she knows what she is doing and killing it. a trick i have tried in the past which doesnt work on old people but it does on most youngsters. is tell them to hold on or hold up your finger and start up another set. then make that set as long as you possibly can. most times they will lose interest and walk away

5/7: Legs
seated press: 90x40 4 sets
calves in press: 360x50 4 sets
prone hammies: 30x20 4 sets
leg ext: 75x12 4 sets
hack squats: sledxbo 3 sets
cardio
abs
sheet....well, everyone now knows HM likes men so they are coming out of the woodwork at the gym *grimace* Last night it was Jesus Sandals. If you are reading this Guns- I did NOT make eye contact! I was in the seated press so I was a captive audience. He started with how good I look and how hard I work...they always start like that. Then of course it made its way back to how good he looks and how hard he works- lol, and about Greek Godesses??! I also had to take pictures of him on his phone- a flip phone of all things so he couldn't have been serious about pix. This is how my night went. Getting my azz kicked by my leg workout and being chatted up by Jesus Sandals.
Sans any interruptions....tonight is chest and tri. I'm looking forward to that.

Re: Hy-Maints 2014 Log
Jeebis I had a rough night. I took my prework late- about 7pm. That's late for me bc of the stims and I didn't sleep till almost 1am. I had bad sleep too...you know the kind where you have weird, disjointed dreams. I also wrote a PM that in the light of day I am not so proud of. I am heartbroken, sad and lonely. These things conspire sometimes to make my mind spin a reality that truly wasn't real. It romanticizes my relationship with a shallow narcissist who is devoid of empathy, honesty, and integrity. I keep thinking I want that person back, but if it were to happen it wouldn't take long to understand it was a mistake. Being left was a blessing. I can't see it yet, but I will- because it truly was. I know you are lurking. I know you read my log. Please don't respond to my PM. It was a moment of weakness.
