you already know it baby1 but quality is far better than numbers. it is hard to find people that arent trying to work an angle on you to get something they want before moving along

“We need to regularly stop and take stock; to sit down and determine within ourselves which things are worth valuing and which things are not; which risks are worth the cost and which are not. Even the most confusing or hurtful aspects of life can be made more tolerable by clear seeing and by choice.” ~ Epictetus -

I hear you. Spent a little time with the family and unwound a bit. Just needed a little timeout

24hr tv when I can't sleep. I remember when stations went off the air and would show a loop of the flag.

My wife and I sent the kids to their grandparents so we could wrap presents. For me Christmas is not about the gifts, it's about family. Although I try to instill this to my 4, 7, and even my 11 year old, the presents play a big part. We keep things simple a few each kid. When we were done I looked at the tree and I am just really blessed that my wife and I are together, have jobs, and can make this Christmas special for the most important people in my life.

I am thankful that I am not materialistic anymore (used to be when I was in my 20s). I know I can be just as miserable surrounded by nice things and a warm house as I can be living on the streets with nothing. The material goods do not help - if anything, what you own actually owns you.
