At the gym today and...

There is a woman that is sooooo thin and I see her on the cardio machine (and thats it) for hours. Makes me sad to look at her. Well I went to get my things and she was stepping on the scale, I turned around at it said 66lbs!! Of course I have no idea what is wrong with her but sh is ther whenever I go and on that eliptical forever

I dont think I could do that Rake. I dont talk to anyone there. I just happen to notice her cause she is next to me on the eliptical sometimes. I dont think it is any of my business

Thats just like in one of my classes, they were saying the recommended weight for a woman. I can't remember what it was, but it was way too low than what I thought it should be. They should teach girls to be happy with their selves,, they don't need to be sticks.

this is exactly how I feel with my daughter. I have though for years about getting a boob job but now that I have her...she is the resaon I wont! I always tell her to be happy with what GOD gave her and that she is so much more than how she appears on the outside. I would feel like I would be going against what i teach her by doing that. She is so much more important to me than anything like that and like I tell her...I have amany other good qualities so why do that anyway,lol

we have two ladies like that at one of my gyms as well. the one poor lady is about as big around as a pencil, her clothes are failing off of her and she does hours upon hours of cardio while looking at pics of food on her ipad. poor woman is so starved that her hair is failing out too. the other lady, does every single class the gym offers and then the cardio machines after that. the gym manger told me that he wouldnt be surprised if she just drops dead at any time. it's very sad to see these ladies like that

Yes that is her. She is usually near me on the eliptical and has the same shorts and shirt on usually. i see her in the morning there. is she there later too?

no, but I've seen her there many times over the years. sometimes when I train in the late morning I see her there. she's so thin her spandex pants are loose on her. lol.

There are a few ladies like that at my gym too. There's one that stands out in my mind, she's so thin you can see her spine and rib cage through her back. She hammers cardio for hours and takes multiple classes on top of that. It's so sad to watch people do that to themselves.

Very sad. To me it seems negligent on gym staff. If they feel someone might drop dead at any time why the hell don'tthey interven?!

here is a story about gym folk who stepped in and spoke to a woman about her anorexia. we have one at our gym. sh had a kid but worked harder while preggo. she was under 100# when she gave birth. her kid was full term and weighed 4# has all sorts of probs.

this sounds like a possible problem with anorexia or bulimia with some ladies . Maybe a family member or friend can talk some sense into her before it's too late .
