      thank you,

yeah there's no way I'm taking pain meds the rest of my life. I always do things to the extreme and I'll probably turn into a junkie. I took pain meds post surgery for two weeks and when I stopped, I felt like shit and got cold chills for a few days. it sucked. no way I'm going that route.

I had and now have again a genetic condition called spondylolisthesis. it's where one of my lower vertebra shifts out of place and presses the sciatic nerve

damn swiper that is freaking brutal and no way they should have broken off. i would be all over a second opinion and maybe even with one that does sports injuries as a specialty. i am sure someone like that may have came across something like you just had. screw the pain meds, not worth it

Wow i dont know how you could live with that daily. Is the pain like a 10 out of 10? How could those screws have broken?

yeah it's bad. the levels of pain fluctuates, but the last 1/3 of my days are the most painful.

I think they broke because either my bone wasn't fully fused after 6 weeks when he told me I could return to my normal life activities, defective screws or the doc put them in at the wrong angle. at my 6 week post surgery appt. he said I could get hit by a truck and it'll not break. lol.

If you don't mind me asking Swiper. What are you using in terms of a cycle? You're gifted.

because the screws are deductive, they were put in at the wrong angle. or the bone wasn't fully fused when he told me I could return to my normal life activities which was 6 weeks post surgery.

Sorry to hear this bro! I'm sure the right doc can get you fixed up though! Definitely get a second opinion! I had a great doctor from tennessee that did titanium brackets and screws in my spine fusing my l1,l2, and l3 together several years back with very little issues now. You bring so athletic helps a great deal!

You are definitely at the top of the game in the pictures. About the pain, Rake took 2 narcotics every 4 hours for 9 years after a head injury. Finally got a new Doc that asked him to take some Methadone to replace the narcs. Scary as shit to try cause we, (me and my kids) made sure he had his meds on time or he was mean as hell. After a week we backed off the narcs and eventually went to half the dose of Methadone. When he started TRT he backed off everything. Much happier spending $250 a month on supps and vitamins than on prescription drugs. Pray for a Doc that can give you a chance at your normal life. PRAY, get a second and third opinion. Rake grew back his Achilles also a couple yrs ago. Don't lose heart go forward.

Did you have an ortho or neuro surgeon do the surgery? Have a couple names of good neuros if you need them. Where did you have the surgery done at?
