Did you have an ortho or neuro surgeon do the surgery? Have a couple names of good neuros if you need them. Where did you have the surgery done at?
thx I might take you up on that offer. I was trying to make an appt with a doc and the receptionist said let me talk to the doctor first to see if he'll take your case. I guessing most docs don't want to deal with a complicated problem. waiting to hear back from the doc.

I have heard that before...docs don't always like to touch someone else surgery work, but there has to be some out there that Re compassionate enough too? My Dad sees an excellent one at Loyola and Fuzo had his fusions at LGH. Sometimes you have to travel, you know. I had my hip surgery at a Rush group that was excellent.
This is just my advice but if you do see another doc for a second opinion, bring your scans, op report etc. and I wouldn't mention at all what this other doc said. Get a completely new opinion. At least this is how I go about things.
Heard good things about him, he is a younger doc right? If I were you I would consult with a neurosurgeon for your second opinion. Fuzo had his shoulder surgeries at IJBI but the doc died, he was one of the starting docs of that practice. I can tell you I have been quite happy with Glenbrook and they are affiliated with U of I. I had my kidney surgery there and also have seen many docs from there.

Finally got Fuzo to hit the gym we go to , he liked it but it didn't have some of the machines he uses so I had to take him to the other one after that, lol. I would like to get him to go there though cause I think eventually he would like it much better Sorry for hijacking your thread

awesome!! yeah take baby steps with him until we get him hooked on our gym. lol.
I'm in the process of getting a 2nd and 3rd opinions on my back issue. one doc said he can fix it but doesn't know exactly how until he gets more info from a ct scan and a MRI which I'm getting done this Friday. he seemed really interested with my problem and he also seemed like the kind of doc that likes a challenge.
