it's one thing to fight the battles and endure everything with your brothers. the loss of a brother is brutal and i can only imagine what he deals with and feels day in and day out.

I have so much respect and love for our armed forces. These men and women put their lives on the line, some making the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The bravest of the brave. God please bless them.

their is absolutely no reason to feel guilty my friends. these guys as well as the rest of us that served did so as a personal choice. it wasnt that we were forced to go to war, we asked for it and lots of us trained for many many years before getting an opportunity to fight for our country. i cant speak for everyone else especially these fellows but i will tell you all i ever wanted was to be allowed to do my job when called upon to do so and not have my hands tied, a gov that backs and supported what we were doing, and a potus that believed in the mission at hand. guys fighting dying and being wounded in combat dont care about politics or even have the right to debate policy or politics. you are given a job and you go do it no questions asked. i hate to drag what is going on now into this discussion but i would be seriously insulted to think that i wasnt sent in to take a job because of the fear that someone might get hurt or killed or our own potus is afraid to act because of what he sees at walter reed. that is a discredit and disservice to those that are injured and have been killed in battle.

now if you want to give back to those that have served, i challenge you to go to a va hospital or a va retirement home and visit with the old guys. most of those guys dont have family or they are were their families can only come see them a couple times a year. all they want is for someone to come hang out and shoot the breeze with them for a little bit. they are some of the craziest and coolest people you will ever meet and you have no idea how big of an impact you have on them just by dropping in and talking for a bit.

guns I agree with you.. this country should use the combat guys as a last resort.. if we have to bring you guys into the country it wont be pretty. it would be like taking the junk yard dog off the chain. let the dog off the chain and shut the door and when the noise stops we'll open the door back up. that's what they should do not tie your hands.. if the policy makers want to do that then let them strap on the boots..

I have not gone to the va but when I see the old timers with there hats I thank them for there service and you will be surpised how many will start to bull shit with you.. like you said they are some crazy ass old guys who have some great stories if you listen to them..
