That's okay, you still have to have a cheat meal or treat at least once a week. That is what I think anyway. A twinkie is being good. I would have went for a pizza, ice cream, or a big piece of chocolate cake, or all 3 of them, lol!
Well, that will probably be tomorrow night....my birthday is Monday and we are celebrating it tomorrow night.

Got on the scale this morning and it read 176. That is much better than the 182-183 that it was last week!

Update: Well, it is almost a week since my last post. My diet has stayed pretty steady except for last saturday when I kind of ate bad because it was my birthday. I weighed this morning and I have stayed at 176 this week. After last saturday, my weight went up about 4-5lbs. Now I am back where I started which is 176. But the good news is that I have put on some size. One of my workout partners commented on it last night. He said that he can definitely tell that I am bigger. So I am going to say that my added my muscle has canceled out my bodyfat loss. To me, it looks like I am a little leaner in the mirror. So I will just keep on trucking along. This has been with very minimal cardio as well. Last week I did 3 days of cardio that consisted of walking on the treadmill at 4mph and an incline of 4 for 30 minutes. I have only done cardio once this week. I am fairly pleased so far. I started taking Hydroxycut today with my wife as well, so we will see if that adds any to the loss. If I can somehow dip below 170lbs...I will be very happy as I haven't weighed that since high school!!

An overabundance of protein is not a good thing. Ever notice how the more protein you take in the more concentrated your pee is? Sounds ridiculous be it is an accurate depiction of reality. Your kidney's filter your food, so if you have high levels of protein and your pee is highly concentrated it correlates with the studies that too much protein CAN overwork the kidneys.
The real question is where is that safe cut off point?
Every bodybuilding forum I have seen says you need 1g/lb LBM and 1.5g/lb LBM if you are bodybuilding.

When my diet is on point i never go below 1.5 grams of protein per lb. Then again it's been awhile since I've been that on point. When I go ON i try to hit 2.0...but that's hard to do.
