they havent fired up yet i dont believe. i just saw this am that a couple very high profile athletes are sitting it out because of the zekka virus this am. i am pretty sure in the next couple of weeks

I'll be watching this summer too, I believe they start in August. I like watching the diving and the track and field. I heard the same thing about some of the athletes not going due to the Zika virus. Gonna be interesting.

I will watch it for sure but its not at all as exciting as it was back in the old days when it was USA vs USSR. I miss those days.

I love the gymnastics most. Beach Volley Ball then Men's and women's diving as well. As for the virus; if I was at child bearing age as a woman I would think twice. Otherwise it's just like a long flu so far. Training all your life for an Olympic Team is an extremely compelling reason to participate. If Baseball was still in the games I would encourage my own son to go and participate. Once-in a-lifetime experience.

I love the womens gymnastics, beach vollyball, the sprints, boxing, basketball. It will be good to see if phelps can win some swimming gold

looks like they have banned russia entirely from the games coming up. sad to see an entire country being taken out even if they havent tested dirty as individuals

Yeah I just heard that on the news. Sucks to hear especially for the athletes that haven't done anything wrong.
