i use a jet boil. my brother has an optimus which is hands down better but cost #x as much.

I will stick to my jet boil i got off craigs list.

even 5000+ feet above sea level i never had a prob boiling water.

we had both issued to our teams. i think they went to the peak ones because they were cheaper and just as effective though.

you earned to keep it bro..

its funny to hear you guys talk about having problems cooking at different elevations because where I live its sea level.. I am building a new house and its elevation is 18ft above sea level and its very high for around here.. down here the ground is flat I have to drive 2 plus hrs to see anything beside flat ground.. something we don't think about down here having problems cooking at elevation...

I love the mountains after I am there for a few days...

i am living on your level myself man. the thing that sucks about sea level is it is damn near impossible to get things to rise. biscuits and breads are a pain and need lots of different tech to make happen and i love me some gravy and biscuits

no the company is peak. it is almost identical to the jet boil. it will run off of any fuel you put into that bad boy.

they have a couple different size models also. you have the one that's about the size of a sterno can for individual then a little bigger what we called a squad stove. then one up from that which had multiple burners on it. they are actually pretty sweet. i have had mine for probably close to 10+ years now
