Re: 10'inches of snow and counting
been to iceland and greenland also for a pretty good amount of time. i am not a big fan of cold weather, esp in the gear the military gives you haha. crap, i even have been snowed on in jordan and froze to the ground in iraq. it snows in iraq also. come to think about it every where i have ever been in the winter has been pretty nasty and had the worse weather ever. maybe that's just my luck

Yes, Norway would be like another world. Damn.Originally posted by guns01 View Posti did exactly what you are talking about cross training with the norway military. snow shoeing and skiing like a champ, oh wait they were, us on the other hand even though we did an extensive work up, looked like a bunch of fools. we stripped down our equipment sleds and went sledding off the mtns over there though. another cool thing about norway, they have a town named hell and yes it was completely frozen over while we were there
Winter sucks, but I try to not hate it by getting out in it and enjoying it as much as I can.

Nothing better than sloshing thru the snow for cardio. If you have some snow shoes , I hear you can fly in those things.
There is something so peaceful when you go walking in the snow. So quiet and calm. At night, with the full moon, it will be utterly spectacular. I highly recommend it. I like to get out about 3 am with a headlamp and my dog and go for a walk in it. With the full moon tonight, you wont even need a light. Take advantage of it for sure.

Awesome! I love it when it snows like that. Just stay home by the fire. I like when the whole state is shut down by a blizzard.

I want to go back up north to go snow skiing.. I love to snow ski...
to far south to ever see snow for me...I'm sure I would share your opinions if I lived in..

Glad this storm fell short of where I'm at. We got enough snow last year to last a life time!

Sure is pretty.
Grew up in the midwest and then lived the northeast.
I don't miss it at all.
Now I think cold is anything below 50.
