I bought a big deep freezer at Lowes last night. I got it out of the box and it had a big dent in it. So tonight I take it back to exchange it. I tell the girl I could use some help unloading the dented one out of my truck. Theres even a picture on the box telling you to only lift with 2 people. She calls a guy named Juan to help.. Juan shows up in his red Lowes vest, helps me unload it and I tell him thank you very much. Now he brings the new freezer to the register and I say "Can you give me a hand loading that back into my truck?". Juan says "I suppose" with an obvious irritated attitude. I say "What do you mean I suppose?" Juan says "Well, I have already helped you once!!!!" I mean he is pissed. I look at him and said "Just go, I will load it by myself"..then suddenly Juan starts going off "What do you expect me to say "Oh please oh please let me load this freezer for you" Im standing there in shock. . I said Yes, thats exactly what I expect you to say" lol He is standing there yelling and throwing his arms all over. I now realize I am dealing with a lunatic.
I point away and say "get the hell out of here NOW!" He is walking away yelling. I look at the girl working there and said "Holy crap, did that really happen?" She said "Thats so out of character for him. He is a department manager" I said "damn, I must have interrupted his break and he is pissed"
I went out and another customer sees me loading it and helps me load it into my truck. Then I went back in and talk to the store manager and told him what happened and that I spend thousands at Lowes every year and I cant believe how shitty their service is...lol...He said thanks for telling me , I will deal with it. Now Im not one to complain, but that was just way over the top. Ive never seen anything like that...If that was my business and I had an employee acting like Juan, I would want to know. That dude has redefined poor customer service, which seems to a thing of the past in our culture...
