  • Out door pants

For my brothers who live in mountainous or rainy areas and HAVE quads and glutes LOL what pant do you prefer for hiking, staying dry and breathable/stretchable for rough activity?

At night I prefer snow pants because my core stays perfect and I can vent through upper body but with summer approaching I was curious what you guys like...brand wise and or style.

I'm a desert deweller but spending a lot of time in the northwest lately and LOVE IT!

I wear old bdu pants of hunting/hiking. They arent exactly breathable pre say, but its alot better than jeans or getting posion oak all over you with shorts.

even though you look like a tool wearing them in public 511 pants are pretty awesome. they dry quickly and last forever. royal robbins are another brand that makes the same style

i have columbia hiking pants. for me it is more about staying cool and dry.

last outing i took i wore jeans. hiking through wet grass got them soaked and they were heavy as hell and chaffed.

columbia fits my legs better and are not wicked expensive like the highest end brands

I love 511s and they do work. I'm looking to upgrade to a more waterproof hiking pant. I've used 511 for years. When I hike at night in colder climates I prefer just to wear my Columbia snow pants. It keeps your core regulates, you stay dry, they roll up nice and small, and they are easy to clean. So I'm looking for something along those lines but much cooler for day hikes!

take a look at eotach(sp). they make some along the lines of 511 and they have a ton of different styles including water proof, water resistant. at least they used to when i still worked with the company
