Boycott GNC! What a ripoff! Today I was at the mall and decided to stop in at GNC to pick up a can of muscle milk(Yes, I know it is a crappy protein)...I take the 2.5 lb can to the register, he says it is $59.95. I said "HUH???? $59.95 for a can of protein that I can buy online right now for 22 bucks!!!? Are you kidding me??"..He says, "You can buy a gold card for $15 and that will bring the price down to $27.99!" ...I said,. "No, I am not going to pay $15 to be able to buy something from you guys for $5 more than What I can buy it for elsewhere. That is unbelievable! Very disappointing. I guess I will have to buy this protein elsewhere"
How bout boycotting GNC so we can put this rip off company out of business once and for all ? They take advantage of young , inexperienced people who dont know any better. GNC should be ashamed of themselves. Sorry if this offends any GNC lovers lol GNC sucks

I haven't bought form GNC in years. Honestly get all I need from TGB. As far as Muscle Milk, I have been getting a shake at this new gym we joined and they throw a scoop of vanilla Muscle Milk in it and it is quite good. I don't like the lquid muscle milks at all though

GNC depends on attracting customers who are naive and uninformed, very often teenagers.
I saw a bottle of pills at the counter that said it increases your testosterone, for like $75 for 30 pills. What a joke. Shameful

They stay in biz from wealthy people who think GNC knows best because its been in biz for a long time...that and unsuspecting newbies. Other than that theory I have no idea.

LOL yeah I think GNC makes it's money off people new to the bodybuilding / fitness world. They just know the name and that's the first place they go. Such a rip off.

GNC stays in business from yes " Noobs " and old people that just go there because of the name that's been around for so long !!!
No offense to the " old folks " lol !!! But I know friends that still go there , after I tell them that there's better places to get their supplement needs !!!
But on the other hand , I still get the GNC newsletter and sometimes GNC does have good deals on like vitamins and such , BOGO , or even buy 1 get 50% off another . And at times they do mark down certain things that I've noticed like TUDCA , NAC , milk thistle , things of that nature . Not bad if u ask me !!!

I know a few younger guys who workout at my gym that work at GNC. From what I understand they are affiliated with a bunch of large brands like Optimum Nutrition and some others that I don't remember off the top of my head. So they make money off their products that aren't even being sold in the their own stores. If there is a rite aid drugstore close to you, they have gnc products and with the rite aid wellness card you can get almost everything at a discount. That's where I buy my mega man multivitamin. Vitamin Shoppe also has very competitive pricing compared to online.

tgb supplements. takes 2-3 days tops to get your order and if you call with a question they dont try to sell you a bunch of bs or expensive crap you dont need. fast and great customer service was enough to hook me.

Re: How GNC even stays in business is beyond me

I absolutely hate that place! If you think about the name General Nutrition Center that's going to be the first thing people think of when they think healthy or fitness lifestyle. Everyone knows the best prices are online I'm a little impatient so I just buy from Vitamin Shoppe. GNC sucks ass I can't stand that place and the people in there are usually wacko health nuts don't know anything about lifting.

Another thing that makes TGB, and all of our sponosrs, stand out from the rest, is the knowledge behind the company! Your chances of getting the "right" product for your needs/goals and great knowledge is much more probable from them rather than asking a question to most at GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe

As stated above they make their money from people who don't know what they are doing. People who are misinformed about what some of those supplements do and the few that work how to implement them properly. When I first started I got sucked into the gold card scam and wasted a lot on garbage. I guess I can't blame them for selling me the stuff. Don't think I could do that to another person knowing what I know now. There's always gonna be snake oil and someone to sell it. Live and learn.
