anyone ever do tactical training?

obviously our military fellas got it but I am talking about at a school such as http://www.vxmarksmanship.com/?

i can shoot just fine at the range and have done some move and shoot drills out on my pop in laws land but they built up new houses behind him and we can't shoot anymore.

I love shooting, would probably love taking one of these classes and would learn some skills while having fun

experiences? comments?

I have taking tact shooting , driving and fight classes back in the mid 90's a lot of fun learned a lot Great survival stuff, I know I would enjoy the class jipped go for it's a great life experience.

That sounds interesting. How did the classes work? You just practice driving situations and stuff?

Well they set up a few courses and then it's all about speed and control pretty cool stuff a bunch of highway patrol and military guys taught the cources it was two weeks of guns cars and pt a lot of fun.

I've taken some tactical shooting courses. The ones I did were all excellent. I did one in Nevada... The facility was amazing and it was a good school. Some of the instructors were a little bogus but overall it was cool. Your profile says you are in Texas. You are lucky bro texas has a lot of good schools. Like MM said I've done some tactical driving classes and some others. I'm a firm believer in realistic training.

Yes, I enjoy them. I teach some and also participate. I enjoy close quarter shoot houses.

I thought MOUT classes in the corps but since i got out in 01 mt knowledge is outdated, im trying to find MCI's on it like we used to have, i trystcmy marine SOPs but its so hard to find

you have both thunder ranch, gunsight and valhalla(sp) out your way. they all offer courses to the public for a decient price. i have attended a few in my time (my job paid for hem hehe) and they are a blast if you have a good instructor that isnt full of shit

i found Patriot Protection. they have scenario training with simunitions and glock 17s. i am going to go out after the holidays and take their intro class.

heard good things about thunder ranch all but the $$$. expensive
