man if that was the case for me i would try to get her to opt for one of the lap band deals instead since it isnt a discipline issue and its thyroid related. she wouldnt damage her heart and mess with any other hormones and brain chemicals with that bad boy. that may be something to consider and i have known a couple people that have had it done and have been doing great for over 5 + years with it.

Yes guns but she def would not qualify for the lap band as she really is not that big enough for that. I know 3 people that did the lap band and one had to have it taken out and the other 2 gained the weight back but I would assume that was their own fault

you would be surprised at how quick they will do them for people that are just over weight. thats exactly why i said it would be a great option for her was discipline and having a thyroid issue. people that lack self discipline can stretch it out just like their normal stomach if they continue to pound food. thus they gain the weight right back again like it is cool. idk why someone would go through a procedure like that only to continue to eat until they are about to bust

I agree with you. I can tell you one thing I know for sure, and I have mentioned a couple ways to find this out exactly, she does not eat ENOUGH. Next step for her is a nutritionist. It is a lil bit frustrating for me because I know I could help her just as much but this is the time I need to step back and just support cause it is taking my energy from me. Thanks for your feedback

i have to agree because you will not find and harder working more disciplined person than me and i couldnt even do it. that has to be up there with one of them most miserable and painful experiences of my life. i did lose a ton of weight in a very short period of time though but it was horrible

My Step father has one of those lap bands. He is still over weight but was extremely obese before, he doesnt exercise or it would probably work better. From what I understand he cant over eat because there isnt room in there for that. If he does he gets sick and throws it up, same if he drinks too much water too fast.
