Re: Personal Training at Planet Fitness
DO IT! It's not jeopardizing your job anywhere and if the club had better trainers these people wouldn't be asking you to help them. A man at my club works 2 people out 4 days a week. I go to 24 Hour with all the Medi-Care crew. I have only seen 1 person in 4 years even make any progress with a trainer anyway and that was because she did it even on days without the trainer. Now that trainer got a better job and isn't there. You have nothing to lose if it doesn't work out.

Re: Personal Training at Planet Fitness
i think they kind of toss that notion out the window with the pizza, doughnut and bagel days they have baby1. i am all about ppl getting in shape but that kind of thing is a tad bit ridiculous to me when they look down on ppl that are in shape. i do like their dress code thoughOriginally posted by BABY1 View PostYou guys..maybe planet fitness is not for you but it works for the average person. We can't knock those who try to improve themselves whether it be at planet fitness or wherever. As long as they have the money to pay who cares where they work out at.

Re: Personal Training at Planet Fitness
You guys are hilarious. All the other gyms within close driving range of me want around 40% of the cut. That is not worth my time.
Also I know they don't have heavy weights. One client is a male beginner and other is a female in 60s in good shape for her age but she won't be doing any balls to wall training. She really just wants me to help her with her leg training.

Re: Personal Training at Planet Fitness
If I were you I would try to get as many clients as you can at as many different planet fitness' as you can, concurrently formulate a plot to blow up all the planet fitness "gyms" in the United States. I hate that place. Lunk and proud of it.

Re: Personal Training at Planet Fitness
I hate gyms that get all anal over "personal training". How stupid. I was at some high end gym one time, showing some friends how to do squats. Suddenly the club personal trainer walks up and says "Excuse me, is there some personal training going on here"..I bout came unhinged. lol...I said "No, these are my friends and they asked me to show them some things. What a crock of horseshit this gym is"

Obviously I couldn't do it a lot as they would pick up on it. Maybe train each of them once a week to help get them started.
What do you guys think? I mean how could they prove I was personal training them if I was working out with them? All I would have to say is they are my aunt or cousin and I'm just working out with them.
I normally wouldn't attempt this at any other gym.
Would do you guys think?

I say do it. They cant prove shit and assumption doesn't mean anything. I would only except cash from your clients though.

Re: Personal Training at Planet Fitness
I think it depends on who owns the PF. I had 2 clients that I trained there both twice a week and had no problems whatsoever. In fact the owner came up to me and my client and said what a great job I was doing. He also complimented her on her weight loss.
