I served my country and have health care promised to me. I can use it or not use it as my choice. It is a shame when our freedom which I served for is trampled on by forcing people to sign up for The Affordable Health Care. I do feel sorry for the people that give up there freedom so easily.


It will be a shame when lawful people will be locked up for not signing up for it. HMMM otherwise law abiding citizens locked up for praticing there freedom of having insurance or not. Tell me where is the fairness in this?

Has anyone priced this out? It would cost me $700 a month to get the insurance even with their "credit" and an obscenely high deductible. Who can afford this?? Its much cheaper to pay the fine which is 1% of your annual gross.

it's crazy. a tax for people who DO NOT buy something.

for the most part, it helps people who have not earned insurance on their own. I am sure it will benefit a handful of hard working folk in professions with no insurance but mostly those who do not or will not help themselves

it's pathetic robin hoodery to me. raising the price on those that already have it to help out those that cant afford it or are to irresponsible to get it. most cities have free clincs that you can go to you just have to wait in line. i just cant wrap my head around how anyone ever thought that you could give someone for free without hammering those that actually pay for what they are getting.

as for you dirt i am in the same boat as you are. i can use the va service for anything for free and i also have my retired insurance both i earned through my service. this admin is running this country into the ground and if anyone doesnt think so they have lost their minds or are completely blind

heres an example of Obumacare.I had a Painful inner ear infection last week.doctor called in a prescription of Amoxicillin,a commom antibiotic, @ our local CVS.I went to to pick it up ans was told they "were out and ill have to WAIT til tomorrow".I need the stuff now,NOT tomorrow,i asked the tech what about another CVS,thats across town,and was told "their out of it too".WTF..,How come CVS doesnt have a simple common Antibiotic like Amoxicillin?? I had to drive 10 Miles outta my way to get the prescription filled! Obumacare doesnt supply the Pharmacys with enough Drugs,the goverment ration's them, so when the pharmacy is out ,your screwed and dont even know!What a JOKE!BTW.,I'm not having CVS fill any more prescriptions for me!

it will fail like every other government funded program this just happens to be the biggest and most expensive next to medicare. as far as locking you up for not signing up.. DO IT.. they cant afford to keep the people they got in jail. if they want to turn hard working law abiding citizens into criminals because they cant pay the kings tariff then bring it on.. lets see how well that works for them.. When the ACA took affect in January, my rates went up over 60%, with my deductabe almost tripling.
I was lucky enough that I was able to keep my original policy from BCBS with "only" a 19% increase.
It is totaly insane to force the population to have something that no one wants, much less has the
money to pay for. The mid-term elections and 2016 elections can't come fast enough.

right with you guys. I had fantastic insurance through my local until this crap deal. now I got a $4000 deductible before my 80/20 kicks in. preventative care should be the most essential of services and they have effectively made it unaffordable for the average person. we are all now one catastrophic event away from financial disaster with insurance or without. I don't care whos in office those corrupt muthafukkers are going to do anything to change our situation cause their pockets are lined.

I'm insurance poor I pay 950.00 per mth for my blue cross but I have a zero deductible and my wife is on it too

financial disaster my ass. they cant even put medical bills on your credit and if they do it is against the law and should be removed immediately. quick story on how i learned this. i got hurt really bad and was required to be med flighted out and i have full coverage insurance btw so everything is covered with zero co pay at the time. anyway, i had been frauded a few times and it wrecked my credit ratings. so i seen a credit repair lawyer and guess what was on my credit? a close to 100k helicopter ride and flight procedures. well my insurance had paid it but the lawyer told me that it should have never been placed on my credit report and regardless if i paid it or not they had to remove it. is it ethical not to pay your med bills? yes but they shouldbnt be putting it on your credit lol

Sucks because I just had to sign up my family for CalCare because I don't want to take the chance with my wife or little girl, plus my daughters school will ask for her medical insurance info when she goes back to school in the fall...this government and congress should be imprisoned for their corruption and crimes they commit on a daily basis...I can't even continue with this ridiculous discussion, but will have to lose some of my freedom due to it.

free country my ass. maybe some aspects, but we're losing our liberty everyday and a very small minority even cares. the vast majority of people want a huge massive govt, at least that's what they keep voting for. so I blame my fellow Americans for voting the way they do for the country we have.

i agree with this statement right here. im bitter towards my fellow american just bc of this fact alone. america has become one of ignorance and filled with stupid people, nothing bugs me more than stupidity.

someone with the average common sense: all you have to do is look at this recent outbreak with the VA scandal and ask yourself "is this who i want in charge of my healthcare?" ive been listening to reports of e.g. a lady's father had developed cancer, and the wait list to get into the doc was 15 months, her father passed in that time frame, the day after passing the VA called to schedule the appointment. its fucking sick, and i cant stand this government, nor the dumb uneducated fucks that keep voting for it.

i dont mean to be all doom and gloom like but i'll bet money on hillary gaining a presidential seat in 2016 just on the basis of our 2008 election, people want to be a part of history. so i can wait until then, and i hope the clock turns slow.
