      That is interesting!!

But at the same time.. think what the UN actually spends money on. I don't think aid money is considered part of the budget. and it's not like they pay the representitives wages or anything.
RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.

so fukin ironic... heha..... shit like that cracks me up every time i hear it...
What's so damn funny? This is a completely different situation than the US going against UN "wishes". The US has never tried to be sneaky or hide our intentions. Russia has acted like they were playing good guy all along, yet as recently as 48-hours ago, they had "UN Humanitarian aides" giving night vision goggles and GPS scramblers to the Iraqi's. You actually make a comparison to this? I hope you are brighter than that bro.

And again, the US is NOT breaking international law. There is not a law stating a member of the UN MUST get permission from the UN to start an act of agression. We are however, following the UN resolution from back in October of 2002 stating that if Iraq doesn't comply with it's previous agreement, force is authorized...Bush quoted that the night before the war.

Unreal how so many people can defend an evil dictator....

According to internation law, the war on Iraq is illegal because it isn't backed by the UN.

International law (Laws upheld by the UN) is created, upheld and enforced by the countries belonging to the UN. The US is breaking the same laws that they've sworn to protect when the US joined the UN.
Again, this is not true. Show one place where there is international law stating that members of the UN MUST get UN approval before starting an act of agression? You can't. Bush already challenged the UN to do that, and they couldn't respond either. It's a nicety to have the backing but not a law.

The Word of the UN means Nothing! The world can agree to any UN contract without fear of any repercushions.......oh wait, except more inspections....

              Well put my man........
Man the anti-war shit boggles my mind this shit is so simple. I don't understand these people.

If you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves
