Ya I knew that Allah is THE God for muslims. What I meant was that Christians (again..babtists at least) believe that this God that muslims call Allah, is not the same God that Christians call God.Originally posted by TKO
Billy, here is where a huge mis-interpretation takes place among non-Muslims.......Allah is not "a God", he is "The God", the Creator of the sun, the earth, all forms of life on this earth or better yet the universe.....Allah means God, Allah is just the Arabic name for "God"......the God you believe in is "Allah", but Allah is the arabic name for God......Even Arab-Christians I know always use the words "Insha-Allah" in Arabic, which means "If God Wills".........Just thought I'd clear that up.....

See, there was already a holiday on dec 25th. it just happened that this date got addapted as the birthday. Thats what I believe at least. For some reason, Im almost thinkin it was a greek holiday...im not sure, id have to look around to remeber exactly.Comment

All the problems of the world, come from men that think they know the wishes of god. For instance if Osama (Uusama, whatever) won the war against the infidels he would probably be regarded as someone like Moses in the bible (a savior of his people). I'm not saying Moses was a little ***** like Uusama but I am saying they are similiar in that they both think they are on a mission from god. Both are wrong.
Any man that thinks he knows the thoughts or wishes of God is a dangerous man. The world needs to figure that out.Comment

Sorry, but from the other side of the tracks, that is just as silly if not more to me.
I dont know where we came from or how. I do know I dont belive Creation or Big Bang theories.
Science does show existince of evolution, over long periods of time with very small changes. BUT...I cant picture that we came from bacteria...so I dont really believe that either.
My hope, when I die I get to learn all the answers.

I believe in both creation & evolution and I attend all types of religious services with my neighbors & their kids.
I love learning about religions & cultures.

In response to your bacteria comment.
I personally don't think it's that far fetched since curiously enough, mitrochondria have their own genome.
The mitrochondria genetic system resembles those found in prokaryotes.
SoOo.. the theory which suggests that mitochondria are the evolutionary descendants of a prokaryote that established an endosymbiotic relationship with the ancestors of eukaryotic cells is worth a closer look.Comment

Well...Ive studied the transformation of evolution from the archaea and see how it all works and etc, etc...
