Progressive is not the cheapest. I have Citizens here in the mid-west and Progressive couldn't even touch there premiums.

i never heard by citizens.. are they also on the east cost or so ???

well if you haven't had a ticket in 2 years, then you will be fine....ALSO KEEP IN MIND that insurance companies are not aware of all tickets. only if they do a random search of your driving record. now, if you go into the office to talk to them and they ask you "have you had any tickets in the past x amount of time?" and you say "yes, last august" then because you told them that, they HAVE to go by that. just lie to them, i know, as bad as it sounds, you do what you gotta do. i ****ed myself last time i went in there cuz the lady asked me "have you had any tickets in the last 3 years" i said "no....wait, last june i did" she's like "oh, well you can't get the discount then" i said "well what if i was just joking" she said "it doesn't matter, you told me." so in that case, you would lie,lol.

If you are unmarried and under 29 yrs old, your insurance will always be higher. Single men under the age of 29 are considered high risk drivers. I pay $88/month for a 1998 Honda Civic I was like that's crazy so the lady explained to me why I had to pay so much! In your case you are going to be riding a 1000 CC bike! You are a much higher risk, plus your record doesn't help.

i was planning to buy a 2005 suzuki 1000 gsxr this sat, and i just got a quote from PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE AND THEY WANTED $286 A MONTH for one YEAR....
i guess i need to call other insurance, i do NOT want to miss that bike at ALL.....

YOU GET A PERSONAL LOAN...WHICH IS CHEAPER ON INTEREST THAN AN AUTO/BIKE LOAN AND THEN YOU ONLY PUT LIABILITY ON IT

Mikey, Citizens parent company in VA is Hanover. They are prob the cheapest insurance in VA. I don't know exactly what area you are in but here are 2 branch offices, and they can direct you to your closest offices. Both of these offices sell Hanover Insurance: 1. Charlottesville, VA: Group Underwriters 1-434-296-4144, and Chesapeake, VA: Town Insurance 1-757-436-4600

I AGREE...THEY WERE NOT ANY CHEAPER FOR ME EITHER. GMAC WAS THE BEST FOR US.
