My mom sells insurance and told me that insuring a bike with full coverage is very cheap because the chances of the insured surviving the crash to collect money is slim to none! So therefore in most cases it's a win win for the insurance companies.
Definetely call around because sounds like they are giving you the wooden spoon with that price.
Btw, I've had progressive for nearly ten years and they are cheapest for me by far. My wife switched to them to and ended up saving almost $400 a year!
Mikey, Citizens parent company in VA is Hanover. They are prob the cheapest insurance in VA. I don't know exactly what area you are in but here are 2 branch offices, and they can direct you to your closest offices. Both of these offices sell Hanover Insurance: 1. Charlottesville, VA: Group Underwriters 1-434-296-4144, and Chesapeake, VA: Town Insurance 1-757-436-4600

It's all good. I got caught doing 97mph in 70 zone. I was doing 115 about a mile before but i slowed down due to the smoke from the burning trees! Honda Civics kick ass!!!
i was planning to buy a 2005 suzuki 1000 gsxr this sat, and i just got a quote from PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE AND THEY WANTED $286 A MONTH for one YEAR....
i guess i need to call other insurance, i do NOT want to miss that bike at ALL.....
