the last time i questioned a cop i was in the drunk tank and was pepper sprayed so fucking quick i didnt even have time to process what happened, i coudlnt believe it and when i tell that story people always say " Z i know how you are you probably deserved it" and i laugh and swear up and down that i didnt and I still swear i didnt, how the fuck do you get a public intox inside a house? beyond me

Funny............... cops crashed a party my brother and I were throwing at our apartment. They made all my friends leave and drive home even though they were drunk. I told the cops if my friends get killed tonight, or kill someone else they are going to lose their jobs and they're gonna get sued big time! They told me to leave since I was underage and alcohol was in the house. I laughed and said I don't have to leave because it's my house, what am I supposed to do? Walk around drunk wouldn't that be public intoxication? Maybe you should get your laws straight before you enforce them! Or maybe I should drive around like you made my friends, is that what your telling me to do? Then I finished by saying what about when a 3 year old is in a house with the father and the father is drinking. Is the kid supposed to leave the house and drive around because his father has alcohol in the house and he's underage? They told me to just stay there and not to drink anymore. I just laughed and they left. F'ing Pigs!!

You guys all make pretty good points. About the gas prices, I've read that considering inflation and all other effectivities the prices of gas in 1981 was $3.03 in todays money. Some of you guys mentioned Ethanol. Well here is a website listing vehicles which currently use Ethanol. www.E85Fuel.com
I agree with everyone that if you drive a car which needs a lot of fuel then don't complain about increased gas prices. I drive a 1991 Toyota Corolla with 235k miles on it. I still get 33 to 35mpg. I just bought a Honda Civic which gets 37mpg. If I wanted to I could have easily bought an SUV. I'm an electrical engineer so I make decent money so money is not the issue. I just drive 65 miles to work each way and I don't feel like spending $60 each time I fill my tank and making the Saudi's rich.

Someone also mentioned paying 35% of their income in taxes. I'm in the same boat. Single with no dependents and uncle sam will take away a huge chunk of change from your paycheck. Has anyone heard of the Fair Tax? It sounds good on paper but not sure about it in reality. I think A couple countries in Europe and South America use it. I think Chile uses it and they are one of the wealthier countries in South America.

Thanks bro. BUt i can't take credit for it. I think it is very good in theory.

Mick-g as far as 23%. What's the difference? Uncle Sam is taking more than that out of my paychecks. Plus I pay sales tax on everything else I buy. Luckily Florida doesn't take out a state income tax. If I don't want to get taxed 23% then I won't buy anything that I really don't need. But maybe this just looks good on paper but won't work in reality. But I'd vote for it.

Everyday I read about 3-4 gas thefts in the police blotter so who knows how many more there are.....used to see them here and there but not like now, its ridiculous.

It sucks man! No matter how broke I might get I'll never stoop to stealing. I just couldn't lower myself like that. I'd trade in my truck and get a scooter before I stooped to stealing gas. I feel for those people though. It sucks that they have to take that chance just to make ends meet!

I've never struggled so much in my entire life and there is no help anywhere. Being that I'm a white male I get absolutely screwed when it comes to any assistance from the government! All of the special financial aid goes to minorities. Even all of the SBA type loans that are government guaranteed are for minorities, unless you have an empire to put up as collateral, in which case I wouldn't need a freaking loan then. But Oh yeah bush used all of that money up for war so even if there was financial help for small businesses I wouldn't even be able to get it if I were a minority since it says it's unavailable due to the war if you call there!

I love how hard times can make a persons feelings do a total 180! I was all gung ho on patriotism after the 9/11 attacks. Now I hate this country so bad I often find myself actually contemplating taking my Fiancee's canadian citizenship and moving there instead! Never thought I'd see the day where that would happen. There's so many stupid hicks in this country that just don't have a brain. It makes me freaking sick!
