I just wanted to personally thank all the Bush supporters for helping us all out by voting a complete jackass into office. Because of that idiot we all get to pay almost $3.00 per gallon of gas. This is absolutely ridiculous! It's killing my business and making it really hard to pay bills. Everyone I know is barely making it with gas prices this high. Wages are going down, while the cost of gas goes up. Then the result of that is everything else will go up in price being that gas is needed to transport all of the items to stores and whatnot. It's not going to get any better.

I'd like for someone to explain to me how we take control of an oil rich country and our prices for gasoline literally doubled? If anything they should have gone down in price or atleast stayed the same. But good ol Bush is raising prices of gas to pay for this stupid war.

Tourism is slowing because noone wants to travel now. People aren't so ready to spend money in fear they won't meet their bills. Thanks for ruining peoples lives Bush.

For all you people that voted for him how about you vote for someone thats not a redneck hick next time. The guy can't even say a coherent sentence. No wonder the rest of the world laughs at us. We're dumb enough to let a moron like that run our country. If your a Bush supporter do everyone a favor and keep your votes to yourself next time. You'll be doing all Americans, and the rest of the world a favor! Thanks!!

I know, mark my words suicide, theft, and overall crime rates are going to rise! People are at a point where they have nowhere to turn. Myself as well as half of the americans out there can't even afford health or dental insurance. It's really hard to make it these days and all Bush can do is make stupid statements and smirk about it. I don't understand how we allow this crap. Our country is feeling more like a dictatorship day by day!

well people lie to get into office and dont do shit that they say they are going to...im with you im fucking tired of it, that is why this country is becoming increasingly more divided.....the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor and the middle class is becoming non existant, 10 more years of this it will be high class or low class, no median. In alot of the US this is already the case.....time we did something about it but people have no guts to stande up for themselves and you get labeled if you do.

Its sickening, its not for the people anymore, its about the green. We cant blame it on just Bush, there were alot of guys before him that did us wrong. The last man that stood up for the people had his brains blown the fuck out in front of the whole world, cant send much more of a message then that. Personally I still try and hold out hope that maybe all this is just a necessary evil and that even though it may not look like it now but its for our good, as fucked up as it sounds.

I don't agree Clinton lowered our deficit dramatically and in my opinion was an excellent president. So he got a BJ under the table who gives a shit. At least that BJ he got wasn't affecting my life in any way. Unemployment wasn't at record highs, gas prices weren't staggering, energy costs weren't out of this world. I can't say the same for Bush.

Even Bush SR was a damn good president. He knew that there wasn't any exit strategy in Iraq so he had the brains to back off. Look at how many less people died in that war as opposed to the current Gulf war. Again with him nothing he did really hit our pocketbooks.

Reagan was good in his own sense. He didn't hit our pocketbooks like Bush.

I'd like to know how we went from paying 92 cents a gallon in 1997 to literally three times that 8 years later? We're being robbed blind. It's not for our good, It's for Bush's good. There is nothing positive about whats going on at all. Major corporations are all shutting down because of this idiot. He's also giving them the option with tax breaks to move overseas so that creates less jobs for us. Even a corporate conglamerate like Walmart is getting hit from this. Delta airlines is getting close to claiming bankruptcy. These companies have been around for decades and now are close to shutting their doors. It's not because things are good. It's because the moron that was voted into office is destroying our countries good name and economy.

I'll tell you what I really don't vote for a person because of what party they are in. I vote for whoever seems like they are most intelligent, and willing to do good for our country. I don't care if the person is Democrat or Republican. I want whoever will keep the values this country was founded on! Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religon, The right to bear arms, etc. etc.

The problem with America these days is people are make voting decisions based on their religous beliefs. This is a very dangerous thing because then you are imposing your beliefs on other people. I don't vote based on what MY beliefs are. I vote for who will keep our fore fathers values, and continue to promote equality throughout our country. All of these Bush supporters are voting for him because he's trying to run this country as if its a catholic church. I don't understand how this is being tolerated. Thats considered dictating. So how is this allowed? Where's the freedom of religon in that? Thats combining church and state which should not be legal in any way, shape, matter, or form. I think Americans need to open their freaking eyes and use their damn brains logically before voting next time. These Bush supporters need to think of whats best, equal, and right for the whole country. Not just thier personal ways!!!!!!!!!

find one economist that will back up your claim that presidential policy is hurting our gas prices. (any president present or past, republican or democrat, they don't manage market demand)

it is supply and demand, at one time only the US had a huge demand for oil, but now india and china are competing with us for oil......hence demand is up supply is down, price goes up

Gas consumption has risen steady even with the increase in prices. As long people here and abroad continue to prove that they are willing pay the price, the price will rise until a market equlibrium occurs


Blame Bush for a lot of things, but gas price is not one of them. Sure we may pay a few cents more becasue of the Iraq war, but it is little compared to the whole picture.

Ask yourself why the sudden increase over the past week. Was it Bush? No. The king of Saudi died and their is uncertainty in their political system. If the Saudi's stopped pumping oil to us the whole market would crash becasue there simply would be no supply
