Re: Anyone hear about this yet on the news??

the parents probably couldnt have done anything but the problem with this is they really couldve hurt alot of people with their stupidity. I came up pretty strict so when i was with my friends and out of my parents sight i did dumb shit too but the fear of my father alone kept me from doing something that moronic and he never had to lay a finger on me to make me fear him, just didnt want to disappoint or make them look like bad people. I raised hell and fought and still do cuzz im not that old so maybe i look at it a little different the some of your older guys because im not too far out of my teen years so you guys with kids already probably look at this different then i am. I burned stuff, shot stuff, paintballs, eggs, fighting etc....but shooting bottle rockets at moving cars is just plain fucking stupid and its been my experience with people i know that kids who do things that extreme have no discipline in their lives anyway. By 12-13 you know better and i dont mean to sound like a heartless asshole but these kids brought on themselves. I hate to hear that one of them died from it but its tough to put the blame on those guys that chased them, for me anyway.

you are just not identifying with the kids. i am. everything u just said you did is and could be just as dangerous as bottle rockets. i was just like u, trust me no one could be more afraid of their father than i was. he never hit me either, sometimes i wish he would just to get it over with. but as kids u get caught up in the moment and do stupid things. at times my fathers voice was in my head and i did the right thing and sometimes it wasn't. u said u lite fires....c'mon bro that could be even more dangerous then bottle rockets. these kids did nothing out of the nomal range of what stupid things kids do.

Ed, it doesn't mention whether or not those two guys were alone in the car. If you were traveling down the road and a bottle rocket hit your car while your wife and nephew were in there - I think you would be irate enough to hit those little punks.

im talking like yard ornaments and stupid shit though not shooting explosives at cars with people in them, thats just insane. If im driving down the road like im gonna be here in a minute and somebody hits my jeep with a bottle rocket i guarantee im gonna chase them, im not gonna hit them but i will catch them and hold them there until the cops get there because thats just being a little punk. If the father had a problem with me chasing his kid then i would be more than happy to give him a shot at the title. its terrible what happened but it shouldnt excuse what the kids did.

true they should be held accountable for beating a kid up but not for a kid running out in the road and getting hit by a car and getting killed. i raised tons of hell as a kid but in my opinion what they did is down right stupid and careless with zero consideration for others lives. yea you dont think about alot of things as a kid but when u are doing something that extreme at 12-13 and you arent smart enough to realize the possibility of what could happen then you need your ass beat and you dont need to be out of your house.

and i agree with that except about them being held accountable for the dead kid. beating up the kid they did catch shows what they were gonna do to the other as well. imo that changes EVERTHING!!

That is called involuntary manslaughter and is a punishable crime in the USA.

Saw this on the news last night...

There was no mention of the 1 kid getting beat up. In fact, they interviewed the kid that supposedly got beat up. The kid said nothing about getting beat up, and he didn't have a mark on him...
RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.

Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.

The person that beat up that kid should be held accountable, but how exactly, and did he really beat up the kid?? Also, im wondering if that kid did not provoke it. Still no excuse, but i have seen video footage on this teacher that supposedly hit some kid in school, and it was only a slap, and you should have seen how this kid was provoking not only the teacher, but the whole class into getting unruley. Also, how bout the bus driver that supposedly beat up the kid in the schoolbus? This kid was getting into the drivers face while he was driving and provoting him by jumping in his face with closed fists. You tell me what you'd do in that situation? As far as the other guy that chased the kid, did he actually chase the boy into the street into on comming traffic? I think you would have had to be there to actually see what went on. Also, look at that girl that is missing in Aruba. Was she really this little premadona the media wants everybody to think, lol. She willing went, alone with these three guy, and i would bet she was intoxicated at the time, and im sure there were some heavy sexual inuendos going on. Ive also heard her mother talk and to me she seemed like some dim wit that didn't know anything about her child and now she is so distrought. Media seems to have this tendancy to make these kids look like premadonas when they actually aren't. This brings up something that shows how smart ass some kids can be. Im my neighborhood there as some kids that will actually dart into the street when they know you are comming down the road in your car. Ive actually had a couple smart asses, while im driving in a 25mph residential street purposefully walk in front of my car then give me this smart ass smile. Now you tell me, if i were to acidentally hit one of them, then who would be at fault? Me of course, because im supposed to be in control of my car at all times. Im being general here, but in my experience in todays times there are alot of parents especially the babyboomers that are spoiling the hell out of there kids, but at the same time don't make the time to properally instill respect and responsibility in their kids. They are wanting little degenerates that have never had to do any kind of meanial work to get money, because mommy and daddy pay for everything. Prob is, that its not the kids faults they will growup and prob not have much in moral character, its their parents. Yes, there are good parents out there, but few and far between.

                                Exactly!!!!

They are kids and unless someone has forgotten kids have no rights until they are 18 because that is when society has determined they can make somewhat wiser choices. The fact that grown ups took things into their own hands is a problem. You don't beat up a kid, I don't give a phuk if the thing blew up in your face, you don't take things into your own hands.

DJ, no offense but you are looking at this like an idiot. You actually think these kids have no rights? That's just dumb. In your line of thinking if someone crosses you you should be able to cross them back, right? And eye for an eye? That's called taking the law into your own hands and it's illegal. PERIOD! If someone takes a bat to your car you can't take a bat to them so why the hell would you thingk it's ok to beat some kid up. That's Liberal wackjob thinking at it's worst.

Someone does you wrong you call the cops, end of phuking discussion. Only morons take the law into their own hands and for doing such they get what they deserve. I hope they charge the guys with everythign they can. No one was hurt, right? Right? Then how the hell can you support their decsion to hurt children? Kids do stupid shit, and adults should know better. Period.
