If you really want to get technical, jesus (god in mans form) sacrificed himself to his creation (man, which he is more powerful than) to make himself (god) forgive the mistakes (defined and imposed by god) his creation (man) performed.Originally posted by roark

Key word being "form of", but not "true" jews. By "true" I mean they lived by the old covinant. They branched off and started teaching a different thing than that of "true" judaism. Although they originated in a similar area does not make them the same. Moses followed God and taught God's Law, Jesus was God. WHAT? That's doesn't make any sense. Well, to you it might, but to me it doesn't. God sacrificed his Son, not himself. And it wasn't to forgive himself is was to punish sin. Sin must be punished and the only way for my sin to be punished is to be condemed. However, because I believe, God punished my sin in Jesus so "I" could be forgiven, not him.
