Telephone solicitors/scams

What do you tell these people? These callers are annoying. Now they use your local area code so you think its someone you know calling. I always get these calls or the Police benevolent fund asking for a donation. Sure seems like a scam to me.
Today I get a call from a blocked #. Hmmmm Im wondering who it might be...Its some dude calling from another country. He sounds like Pakistan and he says he is from computer support and my computer has a problem. I say " This sounds like a scam!!!" He starts arguing with me "Its NOT a scam!"
I said, "Youre a criminal and youre ripping people off. You should be behind bars!" The dude starts screaming at me in some foreign language and hangs up on me LOL

Man I know what you mean. I thought they weren't allowed to do this anymore. Guess I was wrong. If I don't recognize the number I don't even bother to answer

I quit answering all numbers I don't know. I figure if it's something important, they'll leave a message or text me. I get quite a few unknown calls though and it's aggravating.

i also stopped answering mine as well even local numbers. now here is the funny and scary twist with these fuckers. if i am expecting a local call from someone that i dont know for whatever reason, i dont answer it right away. i will call the number back. i have called numbers back and gotten police detectives and other people that are like wtf, i didnt call you and havent been on this phone all day. they are spoofing numbers that are local and real and then ripping people off. i also dont use my number for anything, bills, business, etc..... the only people that have my number are friends and stuff even the docs dont have my number they have my wife's and i still get this f'n calls. so in my mind that tells me that either they just call random numbers or the phone companies are selling our numbers. i am also on the do not call registry. amazing how well that works.

I would love to punch those sons of *****es in the throat. 80% of my calls are scammers. I do not answer my phone unless I know the number.

I love answeing them I tell them that FUZO has died and I get real emotional and say ,he's dead and you people keep calling please leave us alone. Then they stop,lol

damn that is harsh.

I just talk with a very hard to understand mish mash of accent with all the Spanish, German and Vietnamese I know. they cannot understand me and hang up.

if its a women i start asking her what she's wearing etc. the longer she stays on the phone the worse i get. normally when i ask what they are wearing they hang up. i like to have fun with them. growing up they used to call about selling us meat i would tell them we raise our own cats and dogs to eat. my mom yelled at me because she thought they would call someone but they never did.

growing up our phone number was one number off from the local LE so we would get alot of calls. one old guy called all the time *****ing about people running an air boat by his house so i messed with him telling him i would send barney and gomer over there and that barney would have his bullet the guy ate it up it was funny as hell i had my mom crying. i was like 12 years old when i did this. it was a great time...

Some of these phone scammers live in Romania and drive Lamborghinis and wear Gucci everything. I saw a special about it one time. They make billions off of stupid Americans who dont know any better.
I know a real nice girl who got scammed by some dude living in Morocco who convinced her to cash out her $14,000 401K and send him all the money and he would pay her back. He called on on a local area code and had her convinced he lived near her. Even sent her flowers. As soon as he got her money, he disappeared. Poor girl was embarrassed to even talk about it. She was crushed and all that money was gone. Wow.

that sucks.. if anybody deserves a beating its these people.. my step brother is disabled. he's deaf and has mental issues and he gets online and these women hit him up for money and he sends it. i bet he has sent over 5k to people over seas because there mom is sick or they want to come and see him but dont have the money etc.. sorry asses...

the best ones are the ones where they call you and tell you that they have a warrant out for your arrest and if you dont send them a money gram immediately they are going to come and take you in. they called my grand mother and told her that about me and she told them tough shit, he went to shit and the hogs ate him, so good luck finding him cause neither one of us have any money and he got eaten

i had something similar but it was the IRS. i asked them if this is true why are you calling?

I know a dentist that got called and they told him he missed jury duty and if he didnt make a credit card payment, they were coming to his office to arrest him. The poor guy was getting ready to pay it before we told him it was a scam
