That’s where people are so wrong about AZ...AZ actually is the only place in the world with all five forms of desert. A good third of the state is high desert like this. I liken it Northern CA where I grew up (like Redding the area on fire).
This time of year Phx and Tucson are hot as hell and that is what most people think of but a couple hours out of town you in great weather!
