Re: A weight you won't touch?
i am having to cut weight, last week right now. after that the muscle mass won't matter so much i will go heavier. i have not trained for mass in 10 years. i do miss the rush of a 400# single rep, max effort squat. would take me a very long time to get there again.Originally posted by guns01 View Posti would say that since you are doing it and not making excuses that puts your far ahead of those that nail 600 with horrific form. not to mention it fits your purpose and i know for a fact that i can wear someone's ass out with nothing but a bar and a stop watch. and another one is you can make 135 feel like 500 with various other techniques other than lifting from point a to point b. heavy is a realitive term unless you are a power lifter or strength athlete

Re: A weight you won't touch?
On a barbell I never use the 35lb plates for anything. I've always just used 45's, 25's, and 10lb.

Re: A weight you won't touch?
I'm the same bro !!! I have to have the same plates and dumbells and the plates have to be in-line with one another .Originally posted by Yohimbe View PostSome gyms have the half pound dumbell increments. I'm so OCD with my weights, they always have to be facing the same direction on the bar and they have to be the same kind of weights. I've been to many old hardcore gyms and sometimes they have different types/brands of weights. Everything I put on the bar has to match and be facing the same direction. I'm weird
I like a certain barbell that I always look for and use . I'm just weird like that .
I see dudes using different plates and I always wonder Y ??

Re: A weight you won't touch?
Well here's a weight I've never touched until last nite .
The 110lb dumbells !!!
I've always waited to see if I could push those and it was time .
Pushed them for 6 reps, 2 assisted and it felt good .
Fuck man , I'm getting stronger every week , and I'm more focused then ever to make this cycle work !!!
