  • Steroids and the heart?

So just was thinking about doing another cycle. Ive been working my bag off past 2 years and laid off now. So what better thing to do, then to cycle again in my free time! So question.........So since steroids harden muscles, bring more oxygen to muscles make everything more effecient in general. Are these effects bad on the heart. From my understanding, the heart is a muscle. The last thing you want to do is harden it, and cause it to work harder then it already is? Like if you think about it, while cycling wouldnt your heart be working out non stop since its pumping.

I guess a way you can visualize what im trying to say is, picture a person walking. They can walk and walk for a long way. Now picture a person running, theyll be able to run a while then burn out way quicker then a person walking.

I wanna cycle but as i get older (27) it scares me more and more, and i think about this logivally. Before, the cycles id run were insane but i didnt give a shit i was about the GAINS!!! WOOOO!!!! But seriously guys, do you turn a blind eye? Or is my thinking fucked. I know you guys are scientists but maybe you guys know something that i dont? Thanks for listening and understanding!

nothing wrong with being paranoid about your health. best way to manage your heart health with aas would be:

1-blood work both initial and post cycle (all health markers including your heart)
2- eat clean for the duration
3- dont let your bp get out of hand
    4- control your lipids
5- run a reasonable cycle without mega dosing. go with the least amount needed to achieve the results you are looking for.
    6-control your blood sugar

i know i am forgetting a ton of stuff here but this should be a good base starter.

i think when one abuses high doses of gear and makes one's body way bigger than naturally possible it strains the heart. I dropped almost 40 # of mass after the doc said my heart was slightly enlarged. have had no issues since and my heart is healthy.

why stay away from eq? I love that stuff! I know theirs precautions you can take, but your heart is still working alot harder while on isnt it? No matter what dose you take if its a larger amount then what your bodys genetic dna is meant to handle, wouldnt that harden the linings of hear heart and such? Im not against it im going to run a cycle probably but scared shitless lol ........ Now that i think about whats actually happening. And no one is chirping in my ear. This is me thinking in my brain, im comparing what they do to your muscles, and your heart is a muscle.

            Re: Steroids and the heart?

All weight training enlargens the heart and thickens the walls. Aas and gh both increase the amount of this increase. Unfortunately the heart is not made to work as a bigger muscle and it will actually lose efficiency as it gets heavier. Obviously the degree of effect depends on amount of usage and duration of use of supplements. Another negative effect of aas and specifically tren is it lowers your good cholesterol which is just as dangerous as increasing bad cholesterol. The good cholesterol acts like a vacuum to carry away the bad cholesterol before it can deposit in your arteries. Also since all aas increase bp(albeit to different degrees) leaving this untreated is just begging for a shortened life span. I like to think of it as taking a turn in your car at 20mph versus 80mph. The tires are gonna wear out way faster taking turns at 80. These are just a few of the things to be aware of while cycling.

Oh and eq raises rbc as fuzo knows first hand and that is another big issue hence why it was mentioned to be careful with eq.

Be worried and watch for side that is smart. Guns is right paranoia is a good thing. 55 years old here, you have a long time so take it easy, think and reflect on how your body is handling it. Tell your doctor whats up it is his or her job to keep you healthy and they can't say dick to anyone.

Just be mindful of what you're doing bro. You're still young and everything you do should be done with your health in mind. This type of mentality will keep you healthy. You can safely and effectively reach your goals with proper supplementation, but take the necessary precautions and monitor your health to ensure you aren't doing any damage to your body. The points guns mentioned are a perfect starting point for things you want to keep in check.
