Basically I do the research just for fun. I train athletes because I enjoy it, and the better I get, or the better they do, the better it makes me feel.

Why I put this into text ? To help people, to see if I could, multitude of reasons. For the board ? This is actually on 6 boards. When its in complete version I will probably put it up on bodybuilding.com.

Big Cat......you're very much behind the times.

                      Quote:

                      Guggul sterones

Guggul sterones are an age-old ayurvedic medicine touted to increase thyroid activity. This has nothing to do with the beta-adrenergic system, and at first may seem rather obsolete. Continual fat loss and lower calorie diets have been known to cause a starvation response whereby T4 to T3 conversion is lowered and the opposite conversion increased to lower thyroid activity and thus slow metabolic rate. This occurs so that we do not use our entire fat supply in just a few days and can stay alive longer under starvation conditions. Now ephedrine has been shown to actually upgrade T4 to T3 conversion or at the very least lower the opposite reaction (23).

But this latter occurrence has been attributed to the continual alpha-receptor stimulation that ephedrine would display under normal conditions, but since we use an alpha-receptor blocker it is unlikely we will be able to make as much use of this benefit, and so the addition of Guggul is advisory, as it has been shown to increase T4 to T3 conversion (26).

Most likely, to avoid early beta-2 phosphorylation we will add yohimbine at a later stage, and should add guggul at the same time.

                      End.

You should stop cutting and pasting....and actually read-up on new compounds.

#1 Guggulsterones were a total bust when it came to optimizing the thyroid.

I have tried them MANY times and used digital thermometers to measure temperature variances. So have MANY other people.

The only thing Guggulsterones are good for is for improved cholesterol profiles and mild acne.

If you want to MODERNIZE your article:

Remove the guggulsterones and substitute them for 7-oxo DHEA at 200-300mg/day.

                      Called also 7-Keto DHEA.

Its thyroid stimulating properties are FAR superior than Gugguls(Which has zero).

And btw, Guggulsterones have several different extracts. 10% and 3% HPLC being the most common.

Who said they raised thyroid levels dufus ? Guggul increases a decreased T4 to T3 conversion. It merely serves the purpose of keeping thyroid in the normal to high normal range, not to elevate it.

In this case it would be rather futile, since the boldenone will act longer than the enth, so there would be no initiation of recovery at an earlier point. Besides, this would cause androgen levels to drop very rapidly post-cycle, which usually leads to lower retention in mass.
