One interesting thing I read about lauric acid is that it can have a favorable effect on cholesterol levels. That's definitely one huge plus giving coconut oil superiority over the others.

I use NOW MCT oil. I don't really measure it but I put about an ounce in my preworkout drinks and also mixed in my during workout serving of NO Synthesize. I definitely think it keeps my energy levels up without using carbs in either of those drinks. Now that I'll be transitioning into more bulking season I'll be adding some complex carbs into both drinks and still keeping the MCT. I always tend to run "hot" so I can't say if I notice the thermogenesis. Plus I usually rotate either albuterol or ephedrine in addition to my preworkout.
