Who uses it and what benefits have you found if any with it ?

years ago I remember larry scott was a big fan of it promoting its use in his diet. I have some and add it to shakes as well as cook with it but cant say either way if im actually getting the true benefits of it. I try and substitute it with recipes using other oils in baking also.

I pinned some NNE in MCT today, it's really thing and clean looking, draws quick and pins quick but I am still a GSO fan. Even though MCT looks like Niagra Falls, clean clear and make you want to drink it.

      Re: MCT oil

I've heard a bit about it's fat burning and energy properties, but I don't have any personal experience with it. From what I read, medium chain triglycerides bypass the digestion process that longer chain fats go through, provide quick energy for the body and less likely to be stored in fat cells. Also, when a meal includes medium chain triglycerides, there is a significant increase in the number of calories burned. Definitely something I may check into.

i personally use organic virgin coconut oil. it along with what you already know brings a whole other host of health benefits to it as well. the cool thing about mct is that you can replace carbs with them and lower your carb intake without feeling like you are going to die.

I have used gear suspended in MCT and as mick said in prior post it is pretty clean and draws really easy. Most gear I have used with MCT oil has little PIP, but that also goes along with how good the brewer is. There are always tons of variables, but I have had great results with it as well.

                  Re: MCT oil

I use it as well..spoonful in the AM and at night. it seems to keep me functional while low carbing. I advise those new to MCT to work up to a tablespoon. MCT been known to cause some pretty rough digestive problems if you're not used to it.

                    Re: MCT oil

depending on my carb levels i will do 1-2 tbl spoons with every meal like trice. something else you can do is add it to your carbs and protein pre workout meal to slow down the release of the carbs for fuel during your workout.

not all mct oil is created equally yohimbe. give coconut oil a try first, imho it is far more superior to the others.

Awesome, I'm glad you mentioned it because that's what I was planning on starting with lol. From what I read, coconut oil is about 60% MCT and predominantly lauric acid. Whereas the fractionated coconut (MCT) oil has the lauric acid removed and only the capric and caprylic acids. One interesting thing I read about lauric acid is that it can have a favorable effect on cholesterol levels. That's definitely one huge plus giving coconut oil superiority over the others.
