lol... that's funny shit. Its always funny long as it doesn't happen to you. I almost had the same thing happen. wifey was injecting my glute like normal and all of a sudden one of our pups jumped on her wanting to see what was going on. THEN bam...... her hand went sideways. she says oh fuck. luckily the pin just bent. Smh
their are no springs or anything like that in any normal screw on type of syringes. i would triple check that he is actually using a normal one and i am also pretty sure the safety ones are available in screw on as well. just thinking out load here but only two types of syringes have springs 1- is a rediject auto injector and the other is the safety type ones where the pin actually retracts out the side into a safety sleeve. i am almost 100% sure even a small ass pin would show up on an x ray taken properly and i am sure they did multiple angles. that's some shit luck and they should also be able to see the prick mark and put a vit e cap on it to mark the injection site for ref for the x rays

Neither me nor my friend are bullshitting. Though I just took my BP straight needle/syringe apart and saw no spring either. I don't know what the fuck he's talking about but I assure you he thinks there's a needle in his ass and he did go to hospital. This story has me second guessing my injections after 27 years without incident! Today, I went to give myself my first injection since his mishap and only got 1/2 way thru it and pulled out because I started freaking out and thought it looked like needle was in crooked. WTF! I guess I'll finish the inject tomorrow when I'm less freaked out. Unreal!
Must be too tired to comprehend this thread...I've seen some serious junkies reusing syringes Over and over and not one was ever broken. For something like what we all do this is almost an improbability.
I've dropped a syringe from a second story and gotten it to stick in a wood deck like a dart and vise versa tossing it to the ceiling...all without breaking the needle. I'm calling bs on this one.

that's funny you mention that, i had just prepped mine and was getting ready to go at the sink. i took a step back and it slipped out of my hand and stuck straight into my toe nail. it didnt break either but i will be damned if it didnt hurt like hell. that was many many years ago but you made me think of it haha
It as a 22 gauage BP 1 1/2" pin and he got it straight from pharmacy. He buried that shit so 1 1/2"'s of steel is imbedded in his ass , buried, he can't see it, not even sure exactly where it's at. And to make matters worse he had his daughter this weekend and has to drive her home an hour and a half both ways, while sitting down in car whole time. Sounds like he has a rough day ahead of him! LOL Any ideas how this could have happened? Faulty needle or did he just not go in and out straight? This has really NEVER happened to anyone here or that they know of?
All kidding aside that's no fun I could only imagine.. that's why everyone suggests leaving some needle always out of the skin in case stuff like this happens! We live and learn, it's what makes us human I guess
