They say “don’t ever look back from the road you came from” to be successful. I truly disagree. That theory only works in races and times of intense battling but not the overall picture of life. You must take stock in where you were and how far you’ve come. Sometimes you have to stand on a desolate road and make an accounting of the journey you’ve taken...

I totally agree with you on that. I always say don't lose focus on where you're going, but never forget where you came from. I try to learn from my mistakes and move on, but in the grand scheme of things I'll always remember the Genesis of my journey.

I like it. Learn from your triumphs and mistakes is what I take out of this. Blindly going forward for the sake of it is madness without the knowledge you have acquired along the way.

Agree, success is easy to deal with, it is what we always want. Failure is difficult, it saps energy and only motivates strong people. The weak give up.
