Phil Heath on the Modern Wisdom Podcast

There have been times when I thought maybe Phil was coming around and being more humble after the Olympia. Nope. I was wrong. Chris Williamson had him on the Modern Wisdom podcast and all Phil did was whine, complain, talk about how great he is and how dumb everyone else is. He's always rubbed me the wrong way, but there have been times where I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. The way he acted on this podcast aggravated me. The dude came off as a legit narcissistic dick head. Just arrogant.

i have been around him in person and he is a complete dick head and i didnt even try to get up close to him. just seeing how he acted around and talked to people was enough for me and that was while he was in the off season. i am friends with a couple pros and they all say that he is one of the most hated dudes in bodybuilding and always has been. he is an out cast because most of those guys are really tight with one another and they cant stand him at all. even ronney and jay were tight when they battled each other. what always surprised me is they share tricks and secrets with one another. that blew my mind when i found that one out.

That's awesome, I like to hear that they share tricks of the trade and secrets with one another. It's like they go to work and battle it out, but behind the curtains they understand what each other goes through to be there.

I can see why Phil is an outcast. That dude is arrogant as hell. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt so many times, but he comes back around and spews his arrogance all over the place. The guy had some crazy genetics. It's sad that he acts like that.

i think the guys even with superior genetics that still have to put the work in remain humble for the most part and relate kind of to the normal population. that dude just doesnt get it at all and cant relate to anyone. he is one of the elite that actually believes he is an elite and we are all beneath him. hell he should be a politician now, he would be great at that

I remember him way back before he won anything. He lived not too far from here. Played basketball in college. He seemed like a kind of nice guy, then he started winning titles and everybody said he turned into a total asshole & nobody could stand him.

I can’t remember which Olympia it was but one of Dennis James last…DJ and a few others were doing a big feast…we ate and had a full night planned with girls and more girls…parties like crazy planned. Phil had just won but we saw Phil and his wife eating by themselves. I remember hearing guys say he skipped his own victory party and a paid event party.

Now I’m a two sides of the coin guy and I don’t judge a man ever for being with his wife. One we have no idea what might be going on in their lives. Two we might not know the full story.

The man’s never done anything to me and I’m not a gossip chick so it doesn’t affect my day. I know throughout my life I’ve been called names and told I’m this or that but it’s been far from truth and the the few I let know the real me get to have the real me.

The bodybuilding industry is for the most part…and I’m saying this as a partaker for 25 years solid for my 46…it’s a very selfish and egotistical spot. At any given moment these Guys turn on each other plus the degree of narcissistic traits it takes to be on top of any sport but bodybuilding is even more unique.

That being said…ya he sounds like a jerk! Lol!
