    ken shamrock vs kimbo slice

    well, that was just what it was supposed to be. a couple of guys who will never be a contender of even a top 100 guy but have name power

    shammy tried to choke kimbo, gassed himself out and got caught with a tired sluggish kimbo punch right on the jaw. fight over.

    worth a watch but just as a freak show.

    remember choi vs minowa man? now that was a freak show!!!!!!!!!!! that was an awesome fight.

    Japan had the best MMA IMO.

      Ken just got caught but iy was worth watching for amusement purposes

          Fine to watch for amusement. As long as it's a legit fight i don't mind the ocassional circus fights.

            Jip, what's your take on all the people saying the fight was a sham? The whole choke thing looked weird to me. It also looked like Kimbo tapped at one point.

              Hell i don't know. there was no validity in the fight. it may well have been a sham. all for $$$. maybe they had that quick stoppage on purpose so they can get a fight #2. name recognition.

              kimbo loosing to seth petruzelli who was a weight class smaller was the single event that crushed kimbo and evem more devastated elite XC which was a good promotion.

              that sluggish kimbo punch to a sluggish tired shammy still hurts. in sparring when one is tires it is much harder to take a shot. i think that is the simple explanation. i think ken gassed out going for the choke and kimbo was not as tired. stopped too early? maybe

                i watched it and even told my wife it was a fake ass setup fight. when he took him down for the choke he was barely on him and didnt even have kimbo off balance. he just fell down like a wrestler from the wwe. that and he had both hooks in and had that choke locked down and no way he could have withstood a choke like that without going out

                      the fight was a joke... the take downs ken went for looked sloppy... good thing it wasn't on ppv bc I don't think anybody would have gotten it.. I know I wouldn't have bought it..

                          at least we are not the only ones that believe it was straight up fake as hell. belator keeps it up they will go down big time with all their has beens head lining their fights

                            bellator puts on great fights. this really disappointed me. i am all for a couple of older fighters going at it. but fixing a fight? or maybe they just called it an exhibition? (they did not, it was a sanctioned bout)

                            dudes picked up their paychecks, that is why they were there. not because they will ever be relevant in MMA

                              i agree they do put on some really good fights and are a great organization for the new up and coming guys but on the other hand it seems they are a big dumping ground for the older guys that have lost out in the ufc or guys that just couldnt cut it with the ufc any more. i hate seeing the washed up guys trying to make a come back when they should have just retired out and stayed on top when they left
