And StrikeForce is trying to build that same kind of name. As much as they have been through, I can't see them taking this kind of chance at ruining their organization.

There is always the talk of steroids in the UFC. Brock, GSP, Sherk, Franca, Leben, etc.....Leben and Franca actually admitted to using them.

Here is what Overeem says about the steroids:

Heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem will make his first Strikeforce title defense since capturing the title over two years ago when he meets Brett Rogers at “Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery” on May 15th.

Much has been made of Overeem’s immediate exit from the U.S. after capturing the title back in November 2007. Not only has he not been back to defend his crown, but he turned into The Incredible Hulk during the process, which has many, ahem Fedor and Co., questioning the legitimacy behind achieving that kind of natural growth in such a short period of time.

“People will always speculate,” Overeem told MMANews.com of his inflated physique. “I will be tested just like anybody else and like I’ve said before, I weighed 235 pounds in no time when I did not have to cut weight. Gaining 10lbs a year by lifting weights isn’t a big problem. Before I would cut between 22lbs-26lbs to get to the 205lbs weight limit.

“It was crazy. Now that [I am a heavyweight], I can eat and do not have to cut anymore. It was easy to put on the extra muscle weight. I feel great.”

What confuses the Dutchman is that everyone is singling him out for abusing the juice when he has never tested positive for anything illegal. In fact, he was quick to point the finger at a certain UFC heavyweight champion that used to perform as a former professional wrestler – an industry notorious for steroid abuse.

“I don’t see or hear any of these types of accusations towards Brock Lesnar, yet he is even bigger than I am,” Overeem said. “They can test me all they want. I’ll be in the States soon and I will prove everyone wrong.”

One person that he appears to have facialed is Vadim Finkelchtein, Fedor Emelianenko’s manager. Vadim bluntly called Overeem a “steroid bully” and insisted on extensive pre-fight testing before they were to even think about pitting him against their meal ticket. However, Overeem claims Vadim is singing a different tune now.

“Vadim has apologized to me for his remarks and stated that M-1 would agree with the athletic commission rules and testing and they do not want me to do all the extra tests,” Overeem stated. “Sounds promising (for a Fedor fight).”
I would think that if they really thought he was on steroids, Fedor would still be throwing a fit about it.

this is what makes overeem a idiot and this is why he is guilty of using saying what about brock and he's bigger them me. just bringing him up is a admission of guilt and being immature also. Thats so friggin lame to say. bottom line overeem has used it has showed over the years

its not easy to put on muscle the natural way,

They can test me all they want. I’ll be in the States soon and I will prove everyone wrong.”
everyone says that and by that time he's off and out of there system depending what he was on and how tests can be tampered with. As for sherk he's guilty

What about Brock? I read that Overeem is saying that everyone is pointing the finger at him but if you remember Brock did come from wrestling which is the worst sport for abuse of steroids.

He said that he doesn't take them, so we should believe him. We just can't believe Overeem....
