The older I get the more I feel sports are just a big distraction.

If you listen to sports radio you hear obsessed people all the time. I just think it's another tactic to distract us from bigger issuers....it's also a huge waste of time.

Don't get me wrong I still pay attention. I think it's out of control though.

i will spin up off of what you are saying here 6. i want to and love watching sports. i just dont want to see or hear (from the commentators to the players) anything about their politics their personal struggles their injustice or any other bull shit that is going on in the world. i want to see them play a damn game to the best of their ability and entertain me. they can do all that other crap on their social media or rent a podium or some shit but i dont want to see it or hear it on game day. if it isnt about the sport or doesnt apply to the sport then leave it out.

I completely agree. I like sports, but I don't like to hear any politics from the commentators or athletes. I'm watching sports for the sport, not the political statements.

            Re: Distraction

I agree 6 !!!Tbh , I think it's just the governments way of distracting Americans from the bigger issues going on in the U.S. and the world. Same thing with all the HollyWood shit . Who the fuck cares what Kim Kardashian is wearing, what new song Beyoncé came out with , or what the fuck this Love And HipHop shit is all about . Just another way to mask all the injustices going on in the world today . Our soldiers dieing overseas for Bullshit, and this asshole next to me is spewing out baseball stats. Man Please .
Americans are fucking Brain Dead !!! Sorry to say it , that's why I very rarely watch sports and I don't get caught up in all the HollyWood garbage . Trust me, those people making big dollars don't give a fuck about you . Well most don't , some are actually genuine , but that's besides the point !!!

                  Re: Distraction

i love watching football. I used to listen to sports radio all day. I cut it out as it consumed a portion of my life. sports is purely entertainment. there are really no lessons to be learned or wisdom gathered. I watch one or two games a week max. i am more productive because of it.
