You guys just dont get it.....you guys have to worry abotu the 4 bangers with swaps in it.

Civic chassis with a GSR, Type R or Prelude motor in it. All of these swaps will go high 13's on street tires with stock everything. Just the swap.

240SX Chassis with SR20DET or RB25DET or RB26DETT. These are all turbo motor swaps. The biggest being the 2.6 liter TT skyline motor. This will embarass most domestics.

I could go on and on. You see 4 cyclinders are no longer econmy cars. The Talon i took to the track the other night left a 12.8 Z28 2 cars in 1 gear. With virtually nothing done. My Supra will dessimate nearly everything on the street and its an inline 6. HP is HP, it doesnt matter how you make it or how much money you spend. If some kid runs you in your Z28 , your gonna ask him what you got done, how much did it cost, what you run at the track, before you race. Who cares it took him 20K to get a 11 sec car and it took you 10. Run what you brung, I dont let people look under my hood before a race. They dont need to know what is under my hood. If they are worried about it, they shouldnt race me. Im not cocky but im tired of all the smack talk about 4 cyclinders. What we lose in torque we make up for in Higher HP and higher redline and better gearing. My GSR dynoed 197HP to the wheels with bolt ons and 220WHP with cams. On slicks it went high 11's. On street tires, mid twelves. More than enough to beat stock Z28's and owners with big heads because they drive the almighty Camaro. If i get beat...i take my beatings like a man and ask if they wanna race in my weekend warrior. If they do, we do and if they dont, we dont. Either way I win atleast once.

see cipher... i wouldnt consider a mid 90's trans am a Fast car.. hell, my dad had a STOCK 97 jetta glx w/ 100k miles that could outrun my friends 89gt.. i thought that was funny as all hell. how many cars have been pushed out since 72 that really had speed? emissions laws and high gas prices KILLED american performance cause it was the first time americans couldnt just put a big ass motor in it. The europeans have been making small efficent motors forever. name some fast US cars since then... what are they? GNX, some GN's... Trans Am pace car (buick 3.8 turbo motor)... not many more that i would actually consider a POWERFUL car unless you drop big bucks and get like a z06 corvette or a Viper. some of the new cobras have power... but in general, there really isnt much out there in the medium price range that can actually pose a threat on the track.

youve got to understand that a lot of those cars were running on very narrow tires! the traction was awful. they also had to watch out for gearing... 3.90's with a 1:1 final transmission ratio is not really attractive to most people. a lot of them had 3.08's or even higher (lower numerical) gears.

i dont mind the import racers but when people try to make a cavalier or chevette look like a honda i get a good laugh. Here in AZ they have a new trend and these little kids buy these damm motor scooters and put exhaust systems on them. There so damm annoying, it sounds like a amplified wheep whip or back pack blower motor but louder.

a friend of mine knows a kid with an Eagle talon.. it screws. im pretty sure its in the 11's. it has an all stock looking exterior... exhaust system isnt some stupid fart exhaust... has 17" ballburnished alum. wheels... if you saw it you wouldnt think anything of it. its just a nice clean fast car. thats great IMO. its the friggan civics with stock engines and stupid chrome wheels and non functional spoilers that ruin it for everyone

riceburners suck that all there is to it yea some supras are fast but put that muchh money into my cobra no chance of them hangin with me. and put a quarter of that money into a 03/04 cobra and still no chance for the supras.

Im not going to argue this point again. Mustangs make gobs of power but cant handle for crap. Supras do all and do it very well. Theres more tecnology in 1/2 of my car then there is in 5 Cobras. The only good thing they did is choose to run a blown motor on the 03's and 04's. Some and I emphasize some of them are fast. Their suspension is garbage. You should be more worried about a 500HP RX-7 then a Supra. Since people are now able to import Skylines, you should be worried about them as well. The new HP graph for 1 of the highest HP Supra is 1330 Crank HP which = around 1100HP at the wheels. This car is street legal, full interior. My car dynoed 761HP on Stock block, Stock crank, stock head except for Cams. All boost and fuel. Supras are Gods in the import world and good reason for it. They are overbuilt detuned race cars. Period. Ive never lost to any Mustang and the second I do, ill have the motor fully built for 35+ psi and run him again.
