  • Got my truck finished up...

Well earlier this year my car got totaled in an accident I was in going to work.
My Uncle had a 2003 Dodge Dakota RT that he had 249,000 miles on it. I bought that from him and talked to my mechanic about a new engine.
He told me that he could do a full engine, transmission, ecu and wiring harness change if I wanted. He suggested a 425 hp 6.1 hemi swap as he had done that before in a Charger. Well I went with that...and just got it back today.
OMG....absolutely amazing power and sound. Im guessing it's in the mid 12's for the 1/4 mile. It's kinda hard to keep it locked down cause the truck has 392 gears in the rear. The headers and dual flowmaster 40's sound ridiculous. I must say....I'm a happy man today!

man that is cool as hell. post a vid of the sound! better get drag radials if you want near 12s in the 1/4. I bet with headers and a tune it would put down 385 HP to the wheels. that is really good. those things are torque monsters. how much does the durango weigh?

love engine swaps. my buddy swapped his old LT1 in a 90 corvette for a LS2 and it is a rompin machine!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure how much the Dakota weighs. It must not be much in the back cause even with the stock engine, my uncle had trouble launching it from a stop
