Unfortunately I think I have to break down and get a cell phone. I love not having one so I literally am looking for a plan with pretty much just calling and texting but no data. I probably wont even text much or give many my phone number anyway, lol. The only part I am looking forward to is having one to take pictures with. Anyone know of a company that offers plans with no data?

thanks
you could always go with a boost wireless or something like that. i am pretty sure you can pay for what you use with those setups
Phones with data have gotten fairly cheap nowadays. I have a IPhone on straight talk with 8 gigs of data for 45 bucks a month. Pretty cheap if you ask me and the service is pretty good
Tracfone. Pay for what you want with cards you can buy anywhere, anonymous, and many phones are compatible and can be bought cheaply at walmart, online, etc.

I was thinking the same thing if you're looking for a bare bones plan. I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you go with one of the big carriers some sort of data plan is included in the package, even if it's just a small amount. For example, your phone uses data when sending a multi media message. (ie... Texting a photo to someone) Most of the big carriers I think just assume everyone is going to do that, so data is included in most of their plans. Tracfone, or Boost like Guns said may be better options for just basic talk and text.
