ever been so scared

I was sitting drinking my coffee, it was early. I hear "OH GOD NOOOOOOO!" screams tear the silent morning air. Adrenaline fills my veins as I go into fight mode. I jump up from the table and run. the screams are coming from our bedroom.

I hit the door running and do not get the knob turned. the striker plate and part of the door jam go flying.

I access the situation, wife is not there. to the bathroom I sprint! the screams are blood curdling I hear crying. there is a slight sense of pain in my foot as I run to the bathroom.

My wife is cornered in the shower.............by a damn spider.

YES folks a spider. evidently it climbed her leg to keep from drowning. this is when I look down and see blood. my pinkie toe on my right foot has something on it and it bleeding. the thing on it is my toenail which was only held on by a tiny piece of cuticle.

I was relived, mad, and that is when my toe started hurting.

I caught the spider and let it go (good karma) now I am Limpy McJipped. oh it hurts so bad to wear shoes.

how long will this hurt? until a nail grows back? It will grow back right?

here is the spider, about the size of a $.50 coin, What kind is it?

oh, I saved my wife from this beast at great physical peril and cost and did not even get any hero's "thank you"!

Wolf spider very common that's a small one probably a male female are much larger .very painful bite trust me I know(did pest control for 9 years) they have a venom but never heard of anyone getting sick. They live in dark places (drain,shoes , pocket on jacket etc) they hung there food on foot not threw a web.

lol, sorry jipped this makes me giggle. You saved the day!!! You are so needed and your toe will remind you of that. A nail typically takes a good 6 months to completely grow back. I love hearing about people's stories and "thank you" for sharing yours

Yep looks like a wolf spider. Not sure about other areas, but in the south at night at certain times of the year, you can shine your headlights at the yard and see their eyes glow from the light. Pretty damn creepy looking.

my toe is so sore. I wear boots to work and they are actually better than sneakers. UNTIL I WALK UP STAIRS!

I would have smashed that spider or else drown him with a can of Raid. Like when I found that snake, I took and ax and chopped it into 20 pieces

Cool unless it's. a female they carry there 100-200 young on there abdomen so when u step on her the young run all over the damn places it's amazing

dropped a plate on my big toe couple years of ago. took about 4-5 months before i could peel off the black toe nail and underneath was a fair amount of new toe nail.

My toe is healing. only hurts when I wear shoes. I tape it up, I put neosporin on part of a cotton ball and tape over the top. does not hurt to pull off. I ran yesterday and it was OK.

come on trixie, karma is just a premise that if you do goot things, good things will come back to you. not BS, it is a good way to live regardless of faith. Kinda like "do unto others" I know there is no part after that says "including spiders"
