      Re: Tax Season

I just got blindsided with a $16,000 tax bill from the IRS 2 weeks ago with a note that said it must be paid by January 22. This was from an OIC i did in 2012 with the IRS to get a six figure tax lien removed. I thought I could do an installment plan on the $16,000, but found out the agreement I signed in 2012 said NO INSTALLMENT PLANS FOR 5 YEARS. Unfortunately, my CPA didnt know this and put me on an installment plan. Hence the blindside when I opened that letter.

I own a small business. If the government would take away some of the burden of taxes and penalties , we could stimulate the economy like crazy. Obama was brutal to the small mom and pop businesses like mine. I need to hire one more employee to build my business and right now cant do it until I can get caught up on my taxes. Thats what over taxing hard working Americans does ...
I aint *****ing , Im just saying I have to work harder this year than last year, no doubt about it and I can pull myself through this. I just have to put in more hours at work and bust my fucking ass. I dont mind. Im just damn glad I can still physically get er fucking done

Had big plans to put in a new bathroom, new kitchen, put in 300 feet of fence, a new greenhouse, new barn...Now everything is put on hold due to this sudden $17,000 (Its actually $16, 950)...So those jobs now have to wait , as well as all the people I would be hiring to do those jobs, so that I can cough up 17 grand by Friday. . But hey, at least we know our taxes are going for a good cause lol

        Ok, sorry, needed to rant

That many taxes on a small business is not going for a good cause. Probably bonuses for the extraction experts. When I was sent a big tax bill $9300 one year I amended and told them they owed me money. We went back and forth for almost a year. I ended up paying $423. Their agents are so stupid they don't even know the difference between Gross earnings and Net income. Drag it out, they can't eat you.

hey look at the bright side dzone. that tax money right there isnt going to help you improve your business and help someone else by giving them a job. it is most likely going to pay for bradley mannnings sex change operation and bumers next vacation trip. so rest assured your hard earned dollars are going to be used with your best interest at heart

i pay but normally a couple hundred. I would rather pay a little at the end and have all my dough in my pocket than let the gov borrow it.

Smart thinking there. Why let them make money on your hard earned dollars.
