  • Fitibt, Garmin, Jawbone etc Fitness Trackers?

Can someone explain these to me. I might consider one but I dont know. I guess I dont trust them to be accurate. I mean, how much can a wrist watch tell you hard hard I am exerting myself??? Sounds like horseshit to me
What else can anyone tell me about Fitness Tracker watch things(Im assuming they are still called a watch? No?)
    Thanks

I had a fitbit once and used it just as a pedometer, but I felt like it was recording extra steps just from my daily activities of moving my arms. I ended up getting a bigger band and attaching it to my ankle. Seemed a lot more accurate because I don't really move my feet around unless I'm walking lol. I did find the sleep tracker very useful though. It has a function that tracks when you're most restless through out the night.

I have one it's pretty cool and it tells how much you exert yourself by your heart beat. It's not going to be 100% accurate but it's close enough..

wife has a fitbit and loved the thing. not very accurate at all so she got. a heart rate strap thingy. i will ask her what brand she got but it has some pretty cool features and is accurate as hell. it even breaks down your training cycles daily weekly monthly and for the year. the graphs and stuff are really cool

i have a fitbit, it is OK, i would not wear it save I get a stipend at the end of the year if i maintain an average of 10,000 steps ED.

it does track sleep which is good. but for the most part it is all about the $$$ at the end of the year

Like guns said look into heart rate strap. I have a wahoo brand. Takes a little more work but better data imo.
Look up some of the heart rate straps you like. Then download the app for it so you can checkout all the features and go from there.
Garmon, wahoo, and polar are a few.
