This is something that I have had back in my mind for awhile now. I have no doubt that I could do it. It is like me, to ponder on something awhile then one day it will be BAM! I am doing this and there is no stopping me! My goal to compete is to get out there on a stage and face a fear as I have never liked being the center of attention. It wouldn't even be to win, although that would be nice. It would be soley for ME! So one day you all may read that I am getting ready to compete. I sure know I would have the most support one could ever have from all of you.
the only reason to compete is for you. if you are competing for another other reason you will fail miserably and i dont mean in placement either. going in one side one way and coming out the back end better than when you started is a huge win for anyone that takes that plunge regardless of their placements. i try to tell everyone that i have ever worked with that you can not control what everyone else is dong and you are competing against yourself. if you give 100% day in and day out, you dont cheat and you dont miss your training you are a winner. it is very very rare to work with someone that actually listens and does this but when they do 9 out of 10 times they win. GO GET EM BABY1 IT'S A BLAST and if fuzo needs to move his recliner in next to mine for a few months haha, the spot is open
Feel like everyone should try it once. It is one thing to train and diet and be in shape and another to get into competition shape. For me I needed to prove I could do it, that I really did have the knowledge and the power to do it. Even though I haven't competed in a decade I still have that hunger inside me. I want to see myself back in comp shape at 30lbs heavier than a decade ago. I also want to challenge myself to see what adjustments I have to make to get a 41yr old body in shape versus the 30yr old version.
I think you will learn a lot about yourself when you decide to do it. We are all also lucky to have a great resource like this community to pull from for support.
I have already learned so much and I am confident I can do this, even if I have to do it alone. Just need to make the decision and move forward. I want to do it without any added supps of any kind. I will be 48 soon and although I am not entirely happy with the way I look, I find myself looking at other Moms my age and think "hmm maybe I am not so bad". I dont like to compare though. I have no problems in the eating clean area so I am a step ahead there. I think I just let my pain stop me from a lot but I do feel less pain when I exercise. I know its still there ut all those good hormones are great pain killers.
Competing is awesome. No oh ace not competed in bodybuilding shows or anything. I have competed in Crossfit competitions and the thrill is awesome. Plus I have met some great friends from around the area. Do it baby1!
