    With executions halted and the prosecution of some murder cases in limbo, the Florida Legislature overhauled the state's death penalty law Thursday in response to a ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court that the current sentencing law is unconstitutional.

      the sad fact of the matter is it costs more to execute someone than it does to put them to death. the way i look at it is if you do something bad enough to warrant a death sentence then it should be done pretty quickly. you damn sure dont want the death penalty in va or tx. they put your ass on the fast track to riding the lightning
