    Re: Whats the longest time

I love the gym to and it's hard to stay away. I train three days on and take one day off. The three days will be a split of upper body, lower body, cardio then rest. This depends also on what I'm trying to achieve. Overall I'm trying to rest close to two days a week. I will throw a two a day in every now and then but it depends on what I'm doing. I have learned to enjoy my rest days and take advantage of them. At the end of a long stretch of training about every 8-12 weeks I'll take a whole week off. Maybe a little cardio but that's it. Hard to do but the benifits are worth it. It's hard though like you said FUZO I'm a gym junky and there's no place that makes me feel like the gym does.

O Geez ,seems like the last 3 yrs have been tuff . left shoulder done then right shoulder done then last month had aortic valve replaced.
but in-between surgery's kicked ass at the gym like old times 6 or 7 days a week I LOVE Lifting and always will.
Ill be back as soon as possible. I have a love hate relationship with my cardiologist.
He is telling me I should not go back to the gym. Told him I'm lifting till I die and that's that !!!

If I'm away from the gym, even a couple days , my body doesn't like it and I feel like shit !!!
Feel as if I'm losing gains quicker than I can make them !!! I hate that , so consistency is KEY !!!
Plus there's a lot of hot chicks at my gym so I have good views !!!
And I love fuckin up weights , gets me angry !!!

              Re: Whats the longest time

back injury from a blast put me out initially for a month (no legs or deads for 18 months). gunshot wound was another 2 months with only lower body work. other random back injuries have ranged from a day or 2 to a week. normally post show i take a full week off with nothing but cardio. i have learned over the years that you need the time off for not only what you are training to recover and grow but also your central nervous system and joints need time to bounce back and recover as well. a compromised cns causes a host of issues, from not making gains in size, actually losing strength, to making you sick all the time. this is an aspect that a lot of people dont understand about their bodies and just because your not sore doesnt mean you are fully recovered
