I believe people should keep the money they earn because I know people can spend, save or invest their money better than the govt can. I also think charities/churches ect... can and will help the less fortunate when these big govt programs are abolished.

i wouldnt be quite so passionate about it if they werent taking money out of my pocket every single time i have been paid. that's a lifetime of pay and i also get taxed as well. that's what royally pisses me off on top of all the excess we get to see the cock sucking leaders of this country get.

hell man, if we let these pieces of shit keep running the show man we arent going to have churches or charities left to help people. once the clergy's tax exemption is taken away then so will all the good will work they do and most will most likely shut down. i am not even a religious person at all but i still think it is a shame. i agree we could do better with our money but by god i want back what the hell i paid in including my damn medicad

and ol hilary and obumer are shinning examples of how great yours is lmfao to the bank. you people are a prime example of why our system is fucked and even though i am paying into a system for ss and medicare as well as taxes i still may not even get back what the fuck i paid in. news flash my man, like we have pointed out numerous times, nothing is free and you cant give what you dont have. ask greece, they are another shinning example. hell chicago to an extent, new york and california also fit the ticket as well.

i will give your boy bernie credit, at least he admits to being a socialist. may need to do some reading through history though and not through liberal universities on how socialism works in real life.

The tax exemption for religion will never go away, and here is why (something I tell everyone - not you obviously - who thinks it is a good thing).

Imagine the Catholic Church deciding they want Candidate X to become President. The Pope tells all US Catholics they must vote for him or be excommunicated. Many will not - and will lie and say they did - but many who otherwise would not have voted for X will do so. Quite possibly enough to change the outcome of the election. If the Catholic Church did this, they would lose their tax exemption, which means the loss of tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars each year. That is why they do not do it. If that tax saving is taken away, there is nothing to prevent them from actively becoming involved in the political machine.

Imagine the headlines "Catholics line up in droves to vote for Candidate X after Pope threatens excommunication. Candidate X, already heavily funded by several major religious groups, is now poised to sweep the election. Expect the same results in the State and Local elections as the Catholic political machine, now fully unleashed, flexes its might."

Socialism does work in societies where the individual is the bottom of the importance chain, such as many Asian countries. Ruler - Tribe - Family - then You. It also works, mostly, in countries where the people have always had to band together for survival, such as in the Nordic countries where the cold will kill them all if they do not help each other out quite a bit. But as the world becomes more modern, as life becomes easier, socialism fails. It fails because it relies on humans to work as hard as they can for no added benefit - something you do not find in any of the primates on the planet.

so how many of these countries and societies are successful now? here is my thoughts and reasoning behind this and why it doesnt work esp in a large free society such as ours. 1-if you take away all the rich people's money they will move or hide what they have. so no more rich people to take money from 2-if you punish and drive costs up on industry. it will do the same thing that rich people do, it will pack up and move. so now all you have left is the gov, the middle class and the poor people. now since you destroyed your industry because no company in the world is going to work for free, where is your money going to come from? how are you going to take care of a provide for every single person in the country? socialism doesnt work for the simple reason that you cant just create money to give to everyone, it has to come from somewhere. we could be a super successful booming country with a great middle class strong industry and the whole 9 yards if it werent for groups that felt like they got the short end of the stick, gov wasting money hand over fist for no freaking logical reason and straight up plain and simple our law makers are retarded self serving pieces of shit.

russia is a prime example of a booming socialist country that fell apart because it doesnt work. you cant just make up money out of thin air but like i said, we could be booming if it werent for the very small amount of bs i pointed out above. hell we cant even fire this pieces of crap that really do not do more than waste time and money. oh we have a deadline on an important law and have known about it for over a year. wait vacation is coming up and we cant reach a vote so we go on vacation. yep, great leadership right there but on the other hand, i like less gov control and smaller gov. so i am in no way in favor of 99% of the proposals they have and come up with

Yep, I agree. Socialism only works when most everyone has little or most everyone has a lot already. When there is already disparity (as in the entirety of the world), it really does not work. It worked for a long time in China because almost everyone had very little, so spreading around what everyone had did not hurt anyone but actually helped everyone. It reaches the point where it can no longer be sustained for the very reasons you mentioned.

As Winston Churchill once said, "No one pre*tends that democ*racy is per*fect or all-wise. Indeed it has been said that democ*racy is the worst form of Gov*ern*ment except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

china is crumbling now which is funny. the gov their put all the money into the market and now they are going to crash and burn just like russia. the scary part about that is they have the military might and will to pretty much take anything that they want to. that is if they decide to go that route

My daughter is dating a guy who was born and raised in China. He is a wonderful young man, one that I would approve of her marrying if they decide to go that route. He wants to stay in the US and be part of an extended family. Both his parents were only childs and so is he...which means no brothers, no sisters, no cousins, no uncles, no aunts...no extended family at all. China is now realizing they have destroyed the village unit, which was vital to their way of life and it is being replaced with a nuclear society - one that more mirrors the US than they like.

He also said that only the rich are taxed - you have to make more than 75% of the people in your area to pay national taxes...he said all that money is being funneled into the underdeveloped (ie, super poor) areas of the country. This means no national money for the local area in which you live, so those areas have to raise their taxes to keep the infrastructure working that the national government built.

Their economy is tied to tightly to ours and they are not realizing that having all their eggs in one very depressed basket is a recipe for their own recession. At least their military is still a shallow water and land based one - they cannot fight us. If they go for any of our allies, we will bomb them out of existence. China knows better than to fight us or our allies...we would stop all trade with them immediately, destroying what is left of their economy. India and other nations would quickly fill in their gap in the US. It would cause us some big disruptions, but nothing compared to what it would do to them. We would also immediately default on all our loans from them, crushing them fully economically.

all that you said is very true but i would never opt out the possibility of what a country on the brink of collapse would do and the further down the hole we go, the further it drives them down. i personally wouldnt want to have to go on the field of battle with them. they have good technology and their numbers are overwhelming. so that would be a bad bad day either way.
