yes you read that right..the wife and I are building a new house and I learned this never heard of it before and have lived down here my whole life. down in s fla there is a code on the you must have turtle code windows. so the windows don't shine to much light out when the turtles hatch.. when they hatch they look for the moon light and that brings them to the water if your windows allow to much light they will go towards your house or the street.. the window guy was telling us the other day one guy did that and he had over 50 turtles in his driveway and in the road that got killed

yes it is.. I am not building a house on the coast and could care less about the beach.. I cared a lot about it while in high school and afterwards but at this age its a pita..Originally posted by guns01 View Post
you either have to have impact windows are you must put shutters up when you now build a house down here.. impact windows are double the price as reg windows. but on the reg windows you still have to add the cost of the shutters so it drops down to 1/4 the difference.. but then you have all of this hardware on the outside of the windows which looks like shit..Comment

Yeah its weird but it makes sense. its the same reason all the lights by the beach are not bright and are more yellow/amber instead of white.I never meant to be better than anyone, I was just born that way. Its hard being a god amongst peasants!Comment
