My fathers side of the family is from NC and they are the definition of southern hospitality. Life goes a little slower down there but the people really generally tend to be nicer. I have a distant cousin who is 15 and he raises chickens and sells the eggs and also slaughters the chicken when it is time. This is how he is saving money to buy himself a truck when he turns 16. He also hunts whatever is in season and of
Course he helps his parents with the up keep of the horses and all their land. You don't see drive like that in 90% of today's youth. They also have a lot more manners too. Everyone says grace before dinner. Speaking of that, you just reminded me that that is one thing I wanted to bring into practice more at my own house.
